Our playoffs started tonight. We lost 9-6. *Shakes my head* It sucked. They started out by getting 3 runs in the second. We got 2 in the fourth, and 2 in the fifth. We just had to hold them going into the top of the sixth inning. I was pitching. Well they scored 6 runs that inning, and I hurt my back. I had to come out that inning and leave the game. I was in tears, my back hurt so bad.
I caught and pitched. My pitching was really good in the third inning, but not so much in the sixth. I went 1 for 2, only cause I had to come out of the game, so I missed getting my last at bat. But it was a good decision on my part, to come out. So my playoff average is 500. My hit was a homerun. My first of the season. Adding into my season average, I'm now 42 for 61, with and average of 689.
So we now we play at 11am. My bad is better, I got a nice massage and it helped ALOT!
Our final, regular, game of the season. We won! 15-9. First inning was scoreless. Second inning we scored 2, then scored 6. Third inning we scored 1, they scored 2. Fourth, and final, inning we scored 12, they scored 1. Yep, we like to make it interesting.
We started off with having 9 players. Then one called me saying she was sick with the stomach flu. So she was out. I spoke to my sister and she told me that another of our players wasn't going to be there. So that dropped us to 8. Then my sister called me and told me that another one wasn't coming cause her son and husband were sick. So that dropped us to 7. Well, we can play with 7, but we'd have to do some interesting fielding positions. As we were warming up, one of the players, who has been out for a while due to an injury, showed up. It was a nice surprise. So we were back up to 8. Then a player from another team showed up, cause she dropped off her daughter who plays on the team we played against, and we asked her if she'd like to help us out and play for us cause we were short a player. She said yes, so that put us up to 9. Yay for us. It was great.
I pitched, and played third. My pitching was good tonight. They only got 1 run off of me, and that was the one in the last inning. By then it had gotten much cooler, especially with the wind lightly blowing against slightly sweaty skin. Brrr, chilly.
I went 4 for 4 tonight, 3 doubles, and a single. Yay me! So my final regular season average is 41 for 59, with and average of 695. OOOoohhhh, SO close to 700. Oh well, there's always the playoffs to reach that goal.
Speaking of playoffs, they are Sep 11-13. We play our first game at 9pm on Friday night. When we win that we then play at 2pm on Saturday. But if by some strange chance we loose (we won't) then we play at 11am on Saturday. So let me know if you want to come out and cheer us on. I'd love to bring an entourage to the game with me. I have access to a van, and can fit 4 other people in it. If there are more then 4 that want to come to the game, then I can ask my sister if she'll use her car as well. If that happens then we can get another 3, maybe 4 people. So we can have a total of 7 or 8 people with us. If you have access to a vehical and want to bring it down, then by all means, please do. We play at Town Park, which is in Richmond Hill. Located on Pugsley St. The nearest intersection is Major Mac and Yonge.
We won tonight, 10-5. Yes! This was a much better game then lastnights. We played the red team, the team I LOVE to beat! Hehehe.
I played 2nd, and pitched. My pitching was much better tonight then lastnight. SO much better.
I went 3 for 3, 2 singles, and a triple. My first hit was sorta centre fieldish, then my other two hits were to right field. I rarely hit there. It's good when I do, because the other team doesn't expect it. So I am now 37 for 55, with an average of 673.
One more, regular season, game to go, then playoffs. Our last regular game is on Monday the 31st, at 7pm. Anyone is more then welcome to come and watch. Our playoffs are Sept 11-13, that's a Fri-Sun. Our first game will be Fri at 9pm, and then either Sat at 11am (if we loose the first game) or Sat at 2pm (when we win the first game). If you'd like to know were the games are being played, because you'd like to come watch, then just message me.
We lost. No no, not just lost, we got TROUNSED! 27-2. Yeah, that's a BIG loss. Not much to say about the game.
I pitched, and caught. My pitching was alright, not as good as it has been, but alright. I went 1 for 2, a double and a strikeout. So I am now 34 for 52, with an average of 654.
We have another game tomorrow. It will go better.
We won! We won 16-3. It was a HOT night. We played great.
I caught and pitched. My pitching was awesome. I was pitching much harder and faster tonight. I was almost deadly accurate. I got a couple strike outs.
I went 3 for 4 tonight. A double,a fly out, a single, and....get this....a bunted triple. Yes I said a bunted triple. The bunt was awesome. It died right in front of the plate. I made it to first, then they over threw it and I continued on to second and third. So I am now 33 for 50, with an average of 660.
What a great night.
Yes I'm posting about 4 games. I've been a little busy lately, so haven't had time to update about the games.
Game 15 I wasn't able to make becuase I had to work, but we won that game 7-6. damn work for making me miss my game.
Game 16 I made, and we lost 10-2. We were playing the first place team. I went 2 for 2, both singles. So that makes me 28 for 43, with an average of 605.
Game 17 I made it, late, but I made it. Good thing to, cause again we would have only had 8 players if I didn't make it. We were the visiting team, and just starting the game when I got there. I went to work with my uniform on under my work clothes. So when I was able to leave, I just took the work clothes off and was in my uniform.
We lost 11-4. It was a close game for most of the game. Until the second last inning. That's when they blew it open. I played centre, 2nd, caught, and pitched. My pitching was excellent. I went 2 for 3, a double, a single, and a pop up for an out. So I am now 30 for 46, with an average of 652.
After the game I rushed to the 5th anniversary of the TNG munch. I made it in time to see some friends, then went out for pizza with my girlfriend and two other friends. It was a busy day for me. I had so much energy that day. But that's what I get for working at a desk job.
Game 18 I missed. But we won 13-12. Again, damn work for making me miss my game.
Thankfully now I will no longer be missing any games. It's coming to the end of the season (very sad sniffles) and I managed to arrange it with work so I will not miss anymore games. Our playoffs are September 11th, 12th, and 13th. That's a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I don't know the schedual of games yet. But I'm sure we'll be playing at least one game on Saturday, probably in the morning. But anyone who wants to see me play is MORE then welcomed to come out. Just message me, and I'll let you know when and where once I know for sure. You're also welcomed to come out and see me play during the week as well. Here's a list of my remaining games.
Monday August 17th @ 9pm
Monday August 24th @ 7pm
Tuesday August 25th @ 9pm
Monday August 31st @ 7pm
Tuesday September 1st @ 9pm (This is a possible date. It's a rain date, so if any of the games get postponed, then we will be playing on this date. Otherwise there is no game this day.)
Tuesday September 8th (This is another possible rain out date. So we may not be playing then.)
PLAYOFFS Friday September 11th, most likely in the evening. Saturday September 12th, most likely one game in the morning, the rest will be depending on if we win or loose games. Sunday September 13th, times again depend on if we win or loose games, but the championship game(s) will be played this day, most likely in the mid to late afternoon.
Please come out to any (ALL) games. We LOVE the support. I'd love to have a horde of people come with me to the game(s). You can be my entourage! Hehehe.
We won again, 11-5. I was able to make it to my game tonight. Which is lucky for us, cause we would have only had 8 players if I didn't show up. I was origianlly suppose to work 5:30pm-9:30pm tonight, but yesterday they called and asked if I could come in for 3pm today. Since I started at 3pm, I then got to leave at 7:30pm. Since we were playing the late game (9pm) tonight, it worked out well for me.
I played 2nd, and pitched. My pitching was decent. I almost got hit in the face at one point. The batter hit a line drive right back at me, and I was able to just barely deflect, and dodge it, with my glove.
I went 1 for 3 tonight, boo to that. Two of the hits were deep in the field, one to right, and one to centre. Both players made lucky catches, so I was out. My hit was a nice solid double. So I am now 26 for 41, with an average of 634.
Our team is meshing well, and we're having fun. That's the important part.
FREAKIN A!!!! We won 12-6! Go us! I'm so happy. As much as I enjoyed winning against the 1st place team lastnight, I like winning against the team tonight the most. They always take a loss to us so hard. Making up so many excuses as to why they lost. Bah, you lost, get over it!
I caught and pitched. I let in one run, and again I struck out another batter with my change up. I'm awesome.
I went 1 for 1 tonight, 2 walks, then a massive triple! So I am now 25 for 38, with an average of 658.
We won 9-6! YAY. We beat the first place team. I'm not sure, but I think we even gave them their first lost of the season. Yay us! We freakin rock! We played so amazingly. A few minor mistakes, but nothing costly. They just made the game more exciting.
I pitched, played shortstop, 1st, and 2nd. My pitching was freakin fantastic. I even struck someone out on a change up. Marvelous.
I went 2 for 3, a double, a single, and the last hit was to right field, but the fielder made a lucky catch. So I am now 24 for 37, with an average of 649.
We won 16-1. Yes, we smoked them. It was a fun game, except for the fact that the ump REAKED horribly. Reaked, as in smelled. His calls were ok tonight, surprise surprise. By the end of the game, we were taking it easy on them. We were already up 16-0, so we mixed it up a bit. A couple people switched hit, ran slower, and tried to bunt. There was no point in us adding insult to injury. The bottom of the last inning is when they scored their one run. No big deal.
I caught, pitched, and played first. My pitching was great tonight.
I went 2 for 2, a double, a single, and 2 walks. So I am now 22 for 34, with an average of 647. I'm glad we're back to having fun furing the games. We do much better when that happens.
