going back to the soap world

As some of you may know, I used to be an avid watcher of General Hospital for most of the 1990's. Those were some good times -- the introduction of Sonny; Jason Quartermaine becomes Jason Morgan; the return of the Cassadines; BJ dying and the heart donation to Maxie; Ricky Martin's stint; Lucky & Liz; Emily & Zander; the re-visitation of Luke & Laura's past; Robin & Stone and the AIDS/HIV storyline; Jagger & Karen; Jax / Brenda / Sonny / Carly; Ned & Lois and the list goes on. I gave up on GH because it turned into the Sonny & Jason show where the mafia became the "good guys" and it just became... stupid.

Being the out-of-the-loop person that I am, I just discovered that GH has a night-time spinoff, General Hospital: Night Shift! When did this happen!? Oh, last year, oops. So, I've watched the first few episodes of the 2nd season on YouTube and OMG Jagger's back! With his son, Stone! Awwwwww. This show already rocks. Robert Scorpio has returned as well! I'm loving how they're bringing back all these characters. And yay, a gay storyline guest starring Chad Allen! Thank goodness there's only something like 13 episodes per season cause between this & VL, I've reached my soap limit.

Although, I'm sorta thinking about watching the Craig/JP/Keiron storyline on Hollyoakes now...

I'm the one hiding behind Jordan LOL

snow + boredom = picspam!

What with the neverending snow on Saturday, other than stepping outside to meet up with Mom, I spent the day cozied up inside and killed time scouring the internet for some pictures of my favourite boys.  I haven't done a picspam in a long while and I think I may have gone a bit overboard this time, lol!

The scary part is that I could've included so many more guys.  Maybe I'll do a part two some day.  Picspams take way too long to do.

give me a 'whoo' and a 'hoo'

SUPERNATURAL HAS BEEN RENEWED!!!!!!!!!   Bring on Season 4!!

Happy news on what has been a pretty crappy day.

I need to stop reading TWoP, seriously.  It's not fun anymore.  What happened to the snark and the funny?  Now it's just endless arguments over the stupidest things, over-the-top analysis and, the worst, is the absolute hate-on some posters have.  Of fictional people doing fictional things on a fictional television show.  Reading TWoP has seriously begun to suck out MY enjoyment of a watching my shows.  And the fact that certain industry people read it as a gauge of fan reaction is kinda scary.

Due to my newly ignited interest in all things Chad Allen, his latest project is called "Saved", about the whole conversion movement, co-starring Robert Gant (Ben of QAF).  Chad + Robert = must. see.

I also finally watched August Rush yesterday.  It was sappy and sentimental and cliched and Robin Williams was... Robin Williams and OMG I LOVED IT.  I cried at the end, I'm not ashamed.  Jonathan Rhys Meyers  *swoon*  And Keri Russell looked gorgeous.  I never watched Felicity but I concur, long hair definitely suits her better.

playing catch-up

Haven't been in the mood much for posting lately.  Besides, nothing has been happening other than work work and more work.  Next week I start on one of the clients from hell for a whole month.  Just kill me now, 'k?

In other news, with the lure of the Padackles and much peer pressure from Fan and Jersey, I'll probably be off to Dallas this summer for another convention.  Didn't I swear them off the last time?  *sigh*  Seriously, if it was just one of the guys, I would pass but together?  I can't resist that.  But this time, we plan on getting the cheap seats and hopefully we'll actually do some sightseeing that will involve more than the hotel and theatre like last time  ;P  *starts saving pennies*

I just finished watching the 2 Donald Strachey films starring Chad Allen.  Oh Chad, I had such a crush on you back in your Dr Quinn Medicine Woman days.   He's looking good -- especially in a white tanktop -- and I'm looking forward to the 3rd instalment to be released sometime next year.  And after seeing many squee's on some of the sites I frequent over one Sebastian Spence (who portrays Donald's boyfriend, Timothy), I get that now, too.

My computer harddrive has a capacity of 260 GB.  I just checked it and I'm down to 51.9 GB of free space.  Wha??  I know what it is -- it's all these movies I keep downloading but not watching, full seasons of tv shows, tonnes of screencaps.  Good thing there's not much on television right now so I can start doing some much needed cleanup.  But why does burning a DVD have to take so bloody long?!

You guys did pretty awesome on the movie quote meme.   Although no one got the quote from The Usual Suspects.  I was going to use "the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he did not exist" but I thought that would be too easy.

And February comes to a close.  Spring is right around the corner, right?  *looks bleakly outside at the slush/snow-covered roads*
