bloody hell

Fucking Fox cancelled Arrested Development. The bastards. OK, it's really the public at large who didn't watch the most brilliant show on television who's at fault but I still haven't forgiven them for cancelling Firefly.  More evidence of Fox's suckage.  Postponing the remaining 9 or so episodes of Prison Break to be aired after 24's season is over.  Can they not find another suitable timeslot instead of making us wait over 4 months?

In other fandom news (since I'm updating)...

Hanson was brilliant.  Had an awesome time with a great group of people.  I've watched their Underneath Acoustic Live DVD about 3 times now.  Definitely prefer them in an acoustic setting.

TAR is a black hole of boredom this season.  I'm watching the prettiness on Supernatural from now on.

Serenity is set for DVD release in December.  I know nia_starr shares my anxious-ness in seeing the deleted Mal/Inara scenes.  It's all about Cap'n Tight Pants, right?  *grins*

I just purchased a whole bunch of CDs recently.  Death Cab for Cutie and Keane, both of whom I enjoy.  Also purchased Metric and Postal Service, songs unheard.  I do know Postal Service is lead by the same guy in Death Cab so good chance I'll enjoy it.  I've only read about Metric and how it's one of those great Canadian indie bands that people should pay attention to.  Found Emm Gryner in an used CD store and ended up loving it.  Jack Johnson's CD is totally enjoyable but, on the whole, is too laid back for me.  Also picked up the latest Franz Ferdinand and now contemplating on purchasing their first album.  Robbie Williams new CD is great as usual.  Thanks to a friend sending mp3s my way, I've been listening to the new Westlife which I'll be purchasing once it's released here (I can't completely give up on boybands).

Looking forward to attending a Leafs game with lady_caitie   My second game evah!!  *very excited*

And in my ongoing saga of "How Many Concerts Can I Attend in One Year", I can now add Jann Arden to the list along with Hanson.  Jann sounded absolutely amazing and was incredibly funny which makes for an interesting experience -- being treated to hilarious stories between self-described depressing songs.  Also, it was a nice change of pace to attend a concert where the audience sits and enjoys the show without the high-pitched squeeling.  Next up -- Barenaked Ladies.

I was just thinking today that you hadn't updated in awhile!

I'm watching the prettiness on Supernatural from now on.

Oh thank god! Even thought last week was, um, weak, next week looks brilliant. I suggest downloading the pilot episode to prepare and wow I just crossed a fandom line right there. There's an extended clip on AOL, and wow. The Jared/Jensen (Dean/Sam?) is potent.

You know, I'm one of those jerks who didn't watch Arrested Development. And I've yet to see Prison Break, but I will! All signs point to excellent.

I've heard good things about Hanson from one of your companions, Metric is amazing (which album did you buy?) and I'm slightly jealous that you got to see Jann Arden and I didn't! lucky girl!

*loves your icon*

You are forgiven for not watching AD because you introduced me to the SN prettiness. :D Last week's bug episode wasn't the best (wow, it took about 5 mins to get from midnight to sunrise).

I bought Metric's "Our World Underground..." or is it "One World Underground..." ? It's pretty good.

*loves it too* man, I just uploaded several more Jared Padalecki icons. And I watched House of Wax last night and liked it. Welcome to the ranks of Kalan, Jared!

Oh, I know. But it makes for a lot of excellent snark on TWoP! And there really was a lot of pretty...who needs a plot? I'm not picky.

Ooh, Old World Underground, Where are you now? - it's the Metric album that I'm the most familiar with, and ergo my favourite (besides Succexy and Combat Baby rock quite a bit.)

Where are you finding the SN icons? I must have some.

I'm with you -- pretty wins over plot any day. Every day.

I have this magical community on my friends list called SN Newsletter, which lists pretty much everything Supernatural that's happened over the course of a day or two. Icons galore!

Oh, I know. Expect yet another SN fandom post sometime soon...they just keep feeding me!

Wait, is there a new Keane CD? Or did it just take you this long to get around to buying "Hopes and Fears"?

I confess to never having seen Arrested Development, but then I don't own a TV so anything I watch has to come highly and persistently recommended by just about everybody I know (i.e. House) or else be a high-quality revival of a show to which I was fanatically loyal already (i.e. Doctor Who). Sorry it was cancelled, though -- I know a few people who were really into it.

I like Kalan's new haircut, by the way. Especially as he showed up in a recent dream of mine with wavy blond hair down to his elbows, and I was appalled by how horrible he looked. So believe me, shorter is much better. :)

No new Keane CD *am waiting impatiently* I purchased the "Live Recordings 2004" CD. It has the song, "Allemande" on it and besides, I needed a 3rd CD to get the "3 for $30" deal at HMV.

House is a great show but I usually watch the re-runs during summer.

...showed up in a recent dream of mine with wavy blond hair down to his elbows

I am suitably... horrified. I'm just glad the poofiness has been dealt with.

You bet your sweet ass (or is that Mal's sweet ass? hee!) I'm looking forward to the Serenity dvd release! Man that was a good show. And Arrested Development is cancelled????? Geez...just shoot me now and get it over with! My unrequited crush on Jason Bateman will have no further outlet. I seriously love the episodes I have been lucky enough to catch. *sigh* Reruns.

So glad you enjoyed the Hanson concert...I seriously wish I could have been there with you guys; the chance to meet some amazing people and oh yeah, pretty/sweaty Taylor wouldn't have been so bad either! And they played "Long Train Running"? How did it compare to Kalan (because everything eventually comes back to Kalan)? I like Kalan's new haircut too. Hope he keeps it shorter for the new CD so there is less focus on his oh-so-pretty hair and more on his music! (But don't think for a moment that I didn't absolutely love his long blonde Vernon-esqe hair just perfect for flipping and running his long fingers through! Synaesthete's first hair-flipping avi she made for me from the Kitchner New Year's Eve concert still gives me quite the thrill!)

I would boycott Fox but I can't give up on "Prison Break". Honestly, they do deserve credit for keeping AD around for so long.

Did you hear that Jason Bateman thought it would be cool if his sister, Justine, were to guest-star on AD as, get this... Michael's love interest? ahahahaha!! That would've been so perfect and fitting with AD's twisted sense of humour. I just hope that we will be able to get a proper send-off.

And yes, Hanson performed LTR. Zac sang lead and he can't match Kalan's voice but I did prefer Hanson's music/band arrangement (don't know the correct term). Can you imagine if Kalan and Taylor ever shared a stage? I don't think I could handle the combined prettiness.

Michael's love interest...
OMG that would be so funny! Twisted, yeah, but very funny. I wonder what she has been doing work-wise lately. I'm sure she has aged just as gracefully as her brother, she was pretty hot back in her television days..

I didn't know that Zac sang--I thought it was just Taylor. Goes to show you how far out of the Hanson loop I am! And the thought of Kalan and Taylor together? Seriously dude, my eyes would feel like ping-pong balls...

Re: Michael's love interest...
We will never get the Jason/Justine but I'm rooting for some cousin-lovin'. George Michael and Maebe are adorable together.

All 3 Hanson brothers sing lead. In fact, I prefer Isaac's voice the best. He's got a deeper, more rock-er feel.

Re: Michael's love interest...
George Michael is just adorable, period!

One thing I love about Jason is that no matter how old he gets he still has this boyish appeal about him--I think it's in his eyes and his mouth. His grin just makes me grin right back at him!
