2 similar words today - the verb croesawu [croi-SA-wee, oi as in point] & the related noun croeso [CROI-so, so as in sob, not sew].
When you arrive in Wales, you should see a "Croeso to Wales" sign. It's good to croesawu visitors & the signs remind me I'm nearly home! Today's word croesawu = to welcome, the noun croeso = welcome. Croeso to 2013 - try to speak (or think) in Welsh everyday if you can!

rwy'n hoffi tafodiaith ogleddol - mae'n mabwysiadu llai geiriau o saesneg. Today's word mabwysiadu = to adopt. There seems to be a lot of support for the "speaker mabwysiadu a learner" suggestion!

Apologies, tried to tweet this morning but it didn't work! Today's word is enwau [EN-why, but don't say the h!].
Today, we are trying to think of female Welsh enwau for when the new baby arrives in 6 weeks. Today's word enwau = names, and name = enw [EN-oo]. Thanks for all the suggestions for enwau - there's a few that have made us think.
