Bless the children, give them triumph now

I finished with Deathly Hallows on Monday (didn't get it 'til sunday, ya'll).

I'm still not sure whether I want to be happy in love with it, or ball my eyes out. I mean that I do, in fact, love it. Absolutely love it. It was so... perfect. Though, the epilogue was something I didn't expect. But I think I still love that too, since no matter what else it gets across, the point, I think, is that life moves on. But anyway, I believe I need to reread it in a slower manner, instead of rushing through to see how IT ALL ENDS to really put it together in my head- and accept that it is actually the end!

No more Potter... can you believe that? It's so odd. I remember reading the first one in 6th grade, and for like, 10 years- almost half my life- there's always been another Potter book to look forward to. We sort of grew up as he did, you know? But now it's done. Huh. I'm in mourning.
I don't wanna grow up, but if Harry's grown up that means I have to. I don't have any more excuses. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Leave a message at the beep.

Wow, who wrote 1,000 words today? THAT'S RIGHT BITCHES. i'm a teenz proud of myself, you know.

WHY is franz ferdinand the background music for the Daddy Day Care promo on TV? Do they know what goes on at Franz Ferdinand concerts? Well, nothing really, except tight jeaned euro-trash wanna-be's* stamping about, but then there's me and lois_lane85 and threeeby5 looking all sexy with beer spilled in our hair. AND THAT IS NOT G-RATED, PEOPLE. Do you realize the combined weight of our cleavage? Probably  we could contruct your average camper at your precious Daddy Day Care from the contents of our shirts ALONE.

Dear god, what a horrible thought.

That's my stream of conscious-ish rant for the day. Take it or leave it. Probably leave it. It'd be best.

I SAW DARCY EVADONNA, AMANDA, AND CRYSTAL last Friday! God, and I was obnoxious too. Sorry about that guys. Not that I was rude (I don't think) but damn, I talk a lot! And I can't stop myself either. Wish I could, but no dice. Speaking of rambling, perhaps I should get to the point which is: I'm still in love with every one of you <3<3

Alas, I'm off the internets for the next couple of days because I reeeeeeeeally don't wanna get HP spoilerized, so ta-ta, I s'pose. But I leave you with this (guaranteed spoiler-free article) amusing rundown of what loose-ends, exactly, JKR needs to tie up in the last installment:

The true allegiance of Professor Snape has been one of the great mysteries of the whole series: is he evil or just greasy? At this point, the volume of evidence stacked against him is overwhelming. He was formerly an evil Death Eater. He was the head of the evil Slytherin household. He has evil black hair. He is played by actor Alan Rickman, who is himself evil. This is some pretty damning stuff.

*just kidding... sort of.

Harry Potter, kiddies...

I saw the new Harry Potter Tuesday. To quote an adorable british tiny in "The Holiday""

I wreeeally liahk it.

Joelle, Amanda No. 2, and I stayed up past our octagenarian bedtimes to see it at Midnight. It was sold out, and we ended up having to sit right next to this kid I'm vaguely acquainted with, and it was awkwardness. He's nice and all but I think we both had the "I'm 21 years old at a midninght premiere of Harry Potter, and I really didn't want to sit next to someone on the outershell of my social circle" heeby-geebs going on, but we did learn we both have the same phone.

But I digress.

It's good people. So good I'm going to see it again with Darcy, Crystal, and Amanda (No. 1) tomorrow eve when I return to A*town for the night. CHANG CHANG!

THOUGHTS (vague and hopefully non-spoilery for my dates on Friday):

1. Hello, acting, where have you been all these years? For the first time in the series the acting of the main characters makes the film. Radcliffe's scenes aren't purely Heavy-Breathing Harry, which is such a relief. All three of them do a wonderful job, Umbridge is so amazing I hate her, and Luna is PERFECTION.

2. I'm going to marry this screenwriter. This is a movie. Movies and Books are different. Screenwriting is different than authoring a novel. Things *WILL* be cut. In this one, everything that was cut, was just right. The new guy cut and added in a way that made a movie of it. A good movie at that, rather than just a mediocre adaptation. Dialogue was great, and he actually gave Ron lines. I love him now.

3. For a '15 year old', that kid is cut. Seriously, isn't Harry supposed to be scrawny? Cuz, um, he's not.

4. I want to be a part of Dudley's gang. When you see it, if you know me at all, you'll know why. Ahahahaha.

5. I can't say. There's only one part I wish was done differently. I won't say it here for now, but seriously, sleep time?

So, academy awards tonight :) I have not seen a single one of the movies nominated. In fact I haven't seen very many movies at all for a while now. I'd say it's because I'm busy but that's only at home. Here, the movie theatre closest to me does not have a student discount (duh- almost everyone in W Lafayette is a student) and there are some across the river in Lafayette that do, but I'd have to drive there and it's in a complicated location. Not gonna lie, it took Keri and I about an hour to find it one night, when it should have taken 20 minutes. This was in the middle of the worst blizzard we've had had all winter, so you know, accidently getting on a highway, U-turning, K-turning, the entire-fucking-alphabet-of turning was made that much worse/scary. But we perservered. Keri survived sitting in the front seat next to a very stressed KTK. There was no judo chopping that night ironically...
I've managed to cut myself again. I tend to do that. I'll be sitting somewhere, writing or using my hands in some way, and I'll notice blood smeared all over my finger or the back of my hand. Kinda disturbing. Where do I get all these cuts? I have no recollection of getting them. Hmmm. Apparently the chain-saw fairy makes me frequent (and I must say UNWELCOME) visits.
OMG Scream 3 is on tonight. These movies crack me up. So it's unmitigated crap--whatever it's entertaining and that is all I ask. Oh Wes Craven. Anyway, I will be watching this tonight. This is the one with the only moment in ALL of the Scream films that made me... well, scream. It's not that it's a particularly scary moment or anything- I just thought Dewey was going to die for a moment, so I remember screaming "DEWEEEEEEEEEEEYYYY" the first time I saw it. Followed immediately by the biggest laugh I had ever graced these movies with. Well done, Wes, well done. Besides, if Dewey died right then, the whole movie would too. He's like the retarded two legged puppy (you know the one with the little cart to support its back end?) that just keeps sticking around despite God clearly pointing at him like, "Dude, I should just put you out of your misery, I really should, but you're just such a spunky little guy I just can't stand it, yes you are, yes you are..... well crap. You can stay another day..."
I was supposed to go to Indy this weekend to visit my mom and sister, but we decided not to. Momo had to do a video-german project which were of course THE BEST KIND. Good times, good times. So my mom decided to stay home too and do laundry and what-not since momo wasn't coming. Plus, I have to conserve monies due to NOT getting a good tax refund, because I had to file as self employed. WTF? That sucked. Apparently I have a business. I did not realize this, and it took my refund WAAAAAAY down. :( that's right frowny face.
So here's some stuff that's made me laugh recently:
OMG GREATEST THING OF ALL TIME Especially considering the fact that we are generally in love with the DaVinci code and I know I'm looking forward to the movie... But seriously, this is the BEST porn parody title of all time. Whoever came up with this movie is a GENIUS.  Kate and I laughed hysterically for half an hour after reading this. And being released on the same day? Priceless.
Completely Reliable Oscar Predictions Hehehehe
Hemione Granger and the Hangover of DOOM Muahahhahahahaha I would totally be doing the same thing. Huzzah, Emma Watson, Huzzah.
Jon Stewart Interview with Sports Illustrated He so funny
Common Errors in English This is not so much fun as useful. Well, except for when you look at the breach/breech the thing to help you remember the difference is “Once more unto the breach, dear friends” means “let’s fill up the gap in the line of battle”, not “let’s reach into our pants again." I thought that was funny :)
Book of Ratings Yes, ask Kate, I spent hours of my life looking through the crap on this site because it makes me laugh so hard!
