sicker than siggraph

Oh man. The GDC volunteer program is so crazy. I have never met so many like-minded people in one day, under one roof. This is probably the only place I've ever been where I could use "So what was your favorite ending in Chrono Trigger?" as an icebreaker. The memory of SIGGRAPH, while incredibly fantabulously awesome, seems stodgy and overprofessional in comparison.

Even sitting on the subway, listening to random strangers talk about the increasing value of GPUs in 2D games, makes San Francisco more tolerable.
