Feb. 7th, 2006 @ 01:14 pm junior year 2: revenge of the sophomore year
Current Mood: dazed (DC 10 to resist)
Current Music: Melotron - Stille
MWF 10-10:50 AM CSCI 280: Introduction to Algorithms, take two (with ESMAIL BONAKDARIAN ;_;)
MW 2:30-3:45 PM JWST 258: Introduction to the Talmud
Tues 7:00-10:00 PM CRWR 320: Fiction Workshop :D
TT 9:30-10:50 AM MATH 232: Linear Algebra

So basically this is--CRWR 320 aside--all the courses I would have taken sophomore year if I had been smart like everyone else. I suppose this is to make up for last semester, in which I took mostly 300-level courses.

My ATM card has spontaneously vanished from my wallet. It's no major cause for alarm because I can just cancel it and get a new one, but it's frustrating to not be able to buy textbooks until a week into classes. I used a check to get some money to hold me over until then. Got a bunch of notebooks and splurged on a copy of Ovid's Metamorphoses (can spending money on Ovid ever qualify as "splurging"?). Must be good if it inspired all those pretty paintings in the National Gallery in London.

Andy and I were playing Double Dragon II in my room the other day, and we were at that part on Stage 2 where my livejournal icon drops from the helicopter, and Leora looked over our shoulders and said, "That's so weird! You're beating up little erfs!" Ex dee.

My body still isn't used to getting up in the mornings and going to bed at night. It keeps telling me to take a nap and I keep telling it no and ZONK NARCOLEPSY.

umm, can't you just write a check to pay for your textbooks? I'm probably misunderstanding something, but I thought you said you used a check to get some money.

umm, anyway. I love the zonk narcolepsy. I'm gonna have to use that during a phone conversation.

Not if I buy them online. And I'm not going to pay Barnes & Noble's hyperinflated prices if I can help it.

The library is your friend. (Although maybe not so much with compsci classes...) Also, campusbookswap is worth a shot.

"ZONK NARCOLEPSY" is about 10 000 times funnier than it has any right to be.

Well, I figure that I won't need most of the books until next week, anyway. Before then, yeah, Mudd reserve's a pretty good idea.

Well, reserve is a pain in the ass. I have 14 textbooks checked out for the semester at the moment. A winner is me!

Unless you get screwed over by an emergency recall.
