Current Music: Bubblegum Crisis - Konya wa Hurricane
Playing System Shock 2 at 3am during the biggest fucking typhoon in decades (six on Taiwan's six-point typhoon scale) is quite an experience. There's nothing like sneaking around a seemingly empty shopping mall, the pistol quivering in your hands, waiting for the inevitable yet unpredictable alien ambush, while also sitting at a darkened dinner table at 3am listening to 140-mph winds pound at the two inches of glass separating you from the awesome sign-mangling, car-overturning, tree-uprooting might of Mother Nature. (Couldn't see anything because all the streetlights were blown out, but I saw the aftermath the next afternoon.) It's like pretending to be afraid while you're actually afraid!

At times like this I am very thankful for the inventor of the brick.
