cavestory

book of job, the musical!--by an atheist soundtrack artist

No, that's not a horrible sitcom idea. It's Randy Newman's Faust!

The original production, which featured the likes of James Taylor and Elton John, I'm ten years too late to see. (A shame--I'm told it features scenes like God and a chorus of angels singing about how they're just figments of your imagination.) However, I am debating whether or not to buy the original cast recording. Bear in mind that the only song I've heard from this show is the one from Cop Rock, "Sandman's Coming"--and that was sung deliberately out of context. Any opinions from you theatery types?
