the adversary's bible

From which tree did Adam and Eve eat, against God's will?
If you answer, "The tree of life," you have been taught from the adversary's bible.

And of this tree, what kind of fruit?
If you answer, "An apple," you have been taught from the adversary's bible.

And of the serpent who tempted them--what happened to it?
If you answer, "It was a disguise of the adversary, the king of all evil, who in the beginning tried to take the throne of Heaven, and failed, and was thrown into the pit of fire, where it tempts all men and women to this day," you have been taught from the adversary's bible.

And how many animals did Noah bring aboard his ark?
If you answer, "Two of every creature, one male and one female," you have been taught from the adversary's bible.

For none of these answers are from Scripture, or consistent with what Scripture says. (Seek the true answers in Genesis itself--they are all there, in plain sight, and they may surprise you.) They are from Paradise Lost, and Dante's Inferno, and members of a growing canon of watered down, neutered, secularized, censored, politically corrected retellings of Genesis from sources as diverse as the King James Version and Roman paganism and Random House.
