The pieces! They all fit together! The graphics library works and the font library works and the sound library works, and they're all cooperating! Finally!

All I have to do now is finish the poetry routines.

Nov. 28th, 2006 @ 11:26 am seeking laptop for magical art adventure
Current Music: Muse - Time Is Running Out
By the First Law of Procrastination I'm not supposed to make this request until the very last minute, but does anyone have a laptop I could use to display Symphony on C at the installation on Friday? I'll need it from around 3 PM to 9 PM, and will return it immediately after. There is little risk that it will be stolen, because it will be locked, and at any given point during the day I or my classmates will be watching over it. It can be any laptop running Windows XP. Preferably:

  • Pentium 4 or recent AMD processor (if it isn't, it should be fine, but I'll probably ask you to spend a minute or so making sure my program will run before I borrow it from you)
  • 256 MB RAM or more
  • with a TV-out card (there will be a VCR-style video port and an audio port on the back, or on a device that attaches to the laptop with said ports), or failing that, a non-broken screen and non-broken built-in speakers

If you have a laptop you are willing to lend me that is missing these features, but is running Windows XP and not on the verge of death, please let me know also. Virtually any laptop made within the last four years will be adequate (though not necessarily ideal). Thanks!
