Current Music: Apotheosis - O Fortuna (the first techno remix ever)
As part of an old woman's self-improvement montage:

Church lady: Why helloooo! How good to see you again! Have some brownies! What did you bring to the potluck?
Old woman: *shifts eyes* I brought...VODKA! ... ... ... casserole.

I was considering writing an article on the subtle intricacies of Grid Wars, but apparently I've been beaten to it. The British are somewhat notorious for having terrible taste in video games (just look at the trash they wax nostalgic for, and Tomb Raider, and the slew of Grand Theft Auto clones) but this guy knows his stuff. His review is witty, accessible enough for the casual gamer, intelligent enough to nod hardcore-gamers' heads, and (most importantly) dead-on accurate.

So much depth in such a simple game. I hadn't even thought about farming the black holes (especially since they explode into hordes of tiny, point-poor seeking missiles if they get too big).

Also: This is the best Raiden 3 review EVER: "It's the WoS Game Of The Year because it's a videogame that remembers it's a videogame. Lord knows there are precious few of those coming out these days, and we should clutch such ones as there are dearly to our chests, especially when they're this good. It isn't trying to be a movie, it isn't trying to create an online community, it isn't trying to be part of a lifestyle choice, and most importantly of all it doesn't have any fucking orcs in it."

Also also: One line video game reviews! My favorite is the one for Alien Hominid.

Back to studying for midterms.

Neil Gaiman's essay on cities, placed in an interesting context.

I need to stop taking breaks from reading by reading other things.
