Current Music: Mr. Scruff - Get A Move On
Yesterday was a triathalon--creative writing portfolio due at noon, cache simulator due at midnight, final animation project due today. Not hard to guess what I spent all morning, afternoon, and night doing, respectively. Somehow managed to get everything done--a play isn't revised, no test data was gathered for the cache, and the animation runs 8 seconds instead of the required 30 (though an M1 Abrams tank falls on the scorpion at frame 720, just so I can say it isn't under the limit). But I have a good shot at a passing grade for those three assignments, and with all this crap that needs to be done, it's the best I could hope for anyway.

Spent most of today touching up my animation project. It is pretty. I wanted to do a music video of the scorpion and its mate dancing to Mr. Scruff's "Get A Move On," but there wasn't time. I had it hunt a wisp instead. Full movie goes up when I figure out how to do batch renders without crashing the machines.

Exhausted. Would like nothing more than to read webcomics and drink cold milk and enjoy Todd's delicious chocolate oatmeal raisin cookies (because Todd is a wonderful human being for driving all the way to Oberlin with gifts of exam fuel.) But no, I have to write a paper on a book I don't have and study for an exam I'm not remotely ready for, and pack and do my laundry, and submit applications to all the creative writing classes I want next semester--and tomorrow isn't long enough to do all that. I suppose I wouldn't be in this situation if I had started on any of this last week, but last week I was finishing up stuff due the week before, and the week before I was working on things due the week before that, and so on.

Strangely enough, I don't feel terribly stressed. I guess that's the difference between having an amount of work I can barely handle and an amount of work I couldn't finish if reading period lasted a month.

(edit: my Frank the Livejournal Goat icon bobs his head to the beat of the song. this is awesome.)
