Justice


Roy Harms pleaded guilty this morning to Florida state judge Diana L Morelan. He has three years of probation, (no living within 1,000 feet of a school, no contact of any kind with minors, curfew, and more) and will be listed as a sexual offender for the rest of his life. 

This has been a long and emotional journey for me, and I am so thankful that it ended well.I started the process in January by making a police report, and was not assigned a detective until mid spring. Nothing happened fast with this, and it was through the hard work of many that this point has been reached. To everyone that gave me support and kind words- Thank you. Your love and support helped me make it though this.

I got my costume done right in the nick of time for the party Max and I went to last weekend. Im super happy with it!

URGENT! Help stop the Bush administration’s bad medicine!

The Bush administration recently proposed a radical federal regulation change that would allow doctors to knowingly withhold information from their patients about widely accepted medical treatment options like birth control, emergency contraception, and abortion services. Even worse, this new rule could allow individual health care providers to redefine abortion to include the most common forms of birth control — and then refuse to provide them.

With more than 600,000 health facilities nationwide affected, including hundreds of Planned Parenthood health centers, millions of patients' access to basic, comprehensive reproductive health care may very well depend on your action. 

Our best bet to stop this regulation from going into effect is to raise a massive pubic outcry before the official 30-day comment period ends on September 25. Help us fight back now by submitting a comment to the Department of Health and Human Services.

Ike Time!

Ok, can I just say that this costume(like most I make for Richard) almost killed me?! I honestly don't think I've ever stayed up so late working on a costume!

But, I love how it turned out,and I wouldn't change a thing about it. I put a lot of time into this one to make sure it was perfect, because its going to be used in a short film. Everything is fully lined, or professionally finished with French seams. No corners were cut with this baby!

This was my first try at draping my own patters, instead of using store bought. I didn't drape everything ( I had a pattern for the pants) But i altered the jacked by draping, and fully draped the cape and its cowl inspired collar. Like I said , I'm super happy with how everything turned out. Also my first time dyeing and styling a wig from scratch! Believe it or not, that wig started out blond! I'm going to be posting a process post for this costume on my craft blog, when I do I'll post a link here, and you guys can see the before and after shots of the wig.
