The Realm is made up of Seven Nations. It is under the protection of the Promise. Each nation is represented by one of the seven families found within the Lumen Cycle. Each family is descended* from those who banded together to bring about peace. Their actions resulted in the Promise. It is the blood of these seven nations which binds Sonny to them, and them to him.
