I'm as free as a bird today! I'm pretty much all caught up and just doing what I have left slowly as to make an appearance of being busy. As such, I'm also catching up on the internet.
Today's internet outrage is the casting of an Asian women to play someone-someone in Harry Potter. Not being a huge Harry Potter fan, I don't really understand it. From what I gathered, the outrage is that Lord Voldemort - the villain and symbolism for racism/sexism/general basterdry - has under his evil control a snake that turns out to be an Asian woman because magic. The internet doesn't like that an Asian woman is playing the submissive snake person. In normal circumstances, I would maybe agree. But in this case, I don't really see what the big deal is. I mean, based on character traits, that seems actually very in-character for Lord Voldemort to subjugate someone he would see as the inferior race since he's established to be racist. So...¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Maybe chill out and see how the character and story turn out before becoming outraged? But internet, so can't expect too much out of them.
We've also started watching Fights Break Sphere, or, if you like less awkward titles, Battle Through the Heavens. The drama is good in that the colors look nice and I like fight-y stories. But the martial arts Hogwarts storyline is already getting incredibly boring. When are people going to start fighting and breaking stuff?
I'm also watching Fabulous Boys all by my lonesome with my drama-watching cat. The girl gets on my nerves with her fidgety nervousness. I mean, I guess it's because she's a nun living with three guys. But, man, stop being so fidgety! And surprisingly (for drama), two out of three guys already know she's not their new male band mate. Where's the drama, then?
