Death Masks

I’ve been fascinated with this page for days now.

Just the idea that you can gaze upon Beethoven’s* face. Or Napoleon’s..
It’s eerie as all hell (especially if – like me – you view page after page in your darkened bedroom…), but compelling and odly soothing.

Moore
They’re all there. All the Dead White Guys of yore. You may even find a namesake**..

And some of them smiling like the Mona Lisa. I can only assume it’s the weight of the plaster that forces up the corners of the mouth..but maybe not.

*Actually, a life mask.
