I'm finally able to make a post! I've missed you dears SO MUCH! I haven't checked my nudges I've gotten or any private "miss you" messages, but I'm so excited to because I've hardly been able to wait to talk to you!
I'm going to to all the way back 'til July and look at your journals as soon as I have the time. We moved then, and we're still not in our new house yet (builders...lol) so it's a little difficult for me to keep up, but I'm trying (I'm also not using my computer will all my goodies on it, so bear with me!). I've also got classes and little cousins' birthday parties and all that wonderful stuff going on, but if you guys will have me back/missed me, I'm so happy to get to chat with you again!!!
OMG I'm gonna EXPLODE!!!!!! Every Friday, for those of you who don't know, Bill O'Reilly ("The O'Reilly Factor" on Fox News) has a TV Icon cos he's awesome that way and does classic TV because he knows it's awesome (lmao I am SO HYPER can you tell???), and on Tuesday he does a "Culture Quiz" and it's usually always awesome and this week was John Wayne Culture Quiz so it was SUPER AWESOME but OMG OMG OMG his TV Icon for this week I just saw was DEAN and OMG it was AMAZINGLY SUPER AWESOME TIMES TWENTY THREE!!! He interviewed Deanna about Dean and the Roasts and all the other amazing celebraties on there and OOOMG I was so surprised like a surprise party were you get a BMW and a million dollars because it's always a surprise (so, I just had Dean sprung on me, with Ronnie Reagan, and then Sean Hannity came on and showed some George W. clips so I could just freakin' SCREAMMMM because the four of them make me believe in polygamy!!!). UNFORTUNATELY, I couldn't tell everyone to tune in cos it's always a suprise, but, if you weren't watching The Factor of FNC, watch at 5AM est!
Since I don't think this is said often enough, please allow me the honor of doing it:
Thank you so much for your service, Mr. President--for your courage, determination, love, honor, sincerity, patriotism, heroism, and leadership. I've cried often these last few days, watching your exit interviews, and especially when you left with your family (your honorable father, amazing mother, beautiful daughters, and role-model wife) today. I will greatly miss the honor and privilege of being an American citizen under you stewardship. I will miss not only your grand ideals of this nation, the world, and human character, I will miss your smile, your wit, your swagger, and a million other things that make you "Dubya" being in the White House.
I cannot in any words express my deep appreciation for the gifts you've given this country, the world, and myself, nor can I convey the immense admiration I have for you not only as a president, but as a man.
So, my words of gratitude being entirely inadequate and unable to do justice to your historic and remarkable leadership, let me then just simply say: I know that everything you may do to further serve your country in the future will be another gift. So, may God bless you and keep you safe. And thank you.
I can't believe it's already Christmas Eve! Even though we're not having Christmas for quite a while yet, it's still so exciting. Besides all the other Christmas things going on, I'm working on some scans to share tomorrow in honor of Dean, along with an unbelieveable amount of new icons for my annual "Thanks, Dean" post I always make on Christmas :) . So be looking for that later!
I'm sure I'll say it again, but it can never be said too often--Merry Christmas everyone! If you're not on here before then, I want to wish you all the very best this Christmas and in 2009, may God bless you--every one ;) .
Now, my mother and I have already watched A Christmas Carol, and I'm going off to do some baking. It's sort of fun because it's almost like the season has just begun! Hugs to you all, and enjoy the day!!!
Love Always, ~~Ginger

This journal is for pallies only. If you like to hear rambles about Dean Martin, the Rat Pack, Elvis, John Wayne, Ricky Nelson, Old Hollywood, My Mission to bring Old Hollywood back, and lovely events of my day-to-day, you'll probably like it here.
I like to comment on all my friends' journals, and I like that in return--if you're bad at keeping up with your hats and cats, you probably don't want to friend me. If you'd like to add me, please reply to this entry and let me know you've added me or I may miss it.
We keep it laid back and fun here, no drama and no huge rants (other than those pining for the 1950's), so if you're hip to that, join in and swing.
