times have changed [29 Mar 2006|08:13pm]
I doubt anyone still reads this...I don't know if I still have any friends left on here...hmm...I guess it's about time that I update.

I'm not sure why I am here. But the Lord is so good. The only thing that has changed between me and the Lord since I last wrote in my livejournal is I love Him more now than I did before. All the time I exist I become more passionatly in love with Him.

If I could have any super power at all it would be to teleport whenever I want to whereever on the planet.

It's been quiet a while since I posted here. So far I have moved to Texas, and started an intership program with a ministry. I am learning a lot. I take some classes, and work for the ministry while meeting soe new people and gaining some life long friends. It's been intense and hard, but exciting and it's definatly had it's good times too. I got my ring and joined the line of people who have gone before me and will come after. The ring I recieved is much different than a highschool ring or a ring worn for decoration, in bold print on the ring it reads Semper Honorablus, which means always honorable. When we wear the ring this is how we are suppose to represent it, the commitment we made to wear it, from now on we are suppose to be people of Honor.

I got to take a road trip to Colorado with 24 of my friends, that was a good time. For the first time I saw tumbleweeds, and the rocky mountains, a shooting star, and New Mexico and Colorado.

there is a little bit of what has happened since I have been gone.

Hey guys,
I could really use your prayers right now. Some of you may know, but most of your don't. Tuesday night I was in a pretty serious car accident. Thanks to God I am still alive. My car caught on fire immediately, but praise God my seat belt came off right away and my door opened (even though my car had buckled)I came out with only a few things wrong. I have a burn from the seat belt, lots of small bruises, and a fractured ankle.
This is really a testimony and praise to God, because if you saw my car it's a miracle that this is all that's wrong with me. Now as for why I need prayer still...I have already been to several doctors, and go to another one tomorrow about my ankle. They say this bone that got fractured is the most important bone in my ankle because it is the main weight bearing bone. One doctor told me that he was 99% sure I would need surgery. However I don't want surgery, as you may have guessed. Please pray for my healing to be faster than they expect, esp. cause I am going to be leaving for Texas in a couple of weeks. Also now I cannot work for more of my money for H.A. So I need prayer for that too. Thank you all very much.

Excuse me friends,
I would GREATLY appreciate it if you all would take a minute please and pray for my sister Tina. She is pregnant and not due til Jan.30 but she had some strange symptoms and called the doctor to see what he would say about this. she ended up having to go to the hospital last night, and they are making her stay in now, and watching a few things to see if they start turning for the better, I pray they do, but if not they said they are going to take the baby out. I don't know exactly what they are testing to see if she has, but if she has this particular thing it's basically where the body starts attacking the baby. it is not good for either of them. so again, please pray that the levels start becoming normal again. also that she will be doing so well that they will let her out, they spoke of keeping her in till she has the baby in January if she does start getting better, and with her two small children ages 6 and 9, and her husband who works all the time this would be very difficult. thank you so much

c.o.t.d today i am proud of Carissa. the way she cares about the Lord, the way her heart burns for Him. she is sensitive to Him. she cares for Him. of course she isn't perfect but something that is respectable about her is that when she does mess up, she comes back around, realizes her error, and fixes it. she will be a big encouragment to people as she grows, in God, and up. She is a good role model for others because of the compassion that she has for people, and the way her heart is broken for the people. May God continue to reveal Himself to her in new ways all the time. and may her heart be ever strengthened, and her faith would grow even as she sees some people who started the race with her not finish. continue on.

Lately I have really been trying to find out more and more about the Lord, I want to know more about his character more about every aspect of Him. I want to feel his heart beating in my own life, and hurt for the things He hurts for, and I want His desires to be mine again. I want nothing more than what he wants, I want to be in one accord with my God. I know that He only wants good things for me, and thats where my trust in Him has grown even more, it's something else that turns me more in love with Him as time passes. I want to do anything to make Him happy, because that is when I am happy. It's like when you are in love with a real person, you would do anything to make them happy, even silly little things. hmm.

so to finish this entry I simply want what He wants, my beautiful Saviour, and beautiful He is

life has been going since I last posted in here. I have been attending training classes for my new job, as a mail carrier.

so I'm kinda behind on my c.o.t.d's. sorry to disappoint you all :/. But for today I will grant it to my friend Kim S. She is so nice. I really like her and she is so easy to get along with. I love being around her and her attitude is always so positive.

c.o.t.d is for my sister Tiff. She has always tried to be understanding of me, and always there for me. She has always treated me with respect, well after we got through our silly fases of fighting when we were younger. She always made special trips for me any time she thought I needed to get away from anything at home, always stood up for me. I have so many wonderful memories of her and with her. She has such a big heart, and once your in her heart she will do anything for you. It's good to have trust-worthy people in your life.

So today was mostly spent lying around and trying to heal up from my surgery. I still feel incomfortable whenever Iam not completely druged up. and that's only for about a hour, and about an hour after I take it. so most of the time it's uncomfortable. haha. but i'm managing.

be happy everyone, Jesus loves you, and would do anything for you because he has to have you. even when you don't really want him, or aren't really caring about him.

c.o.t.d i think i'll give this one to Reese. She is a very sweet person. She has an overall caring attitude and I think that is very commendable. She came to Kentucky and fit right in. I am so glad that Elijah married and found someone as great as Reese.

She'll probably never read this, but oh well I love her anyway.

i wish i could eat food. i am hungry. oh well, soon enough my beautiful food.

hey guys this is funny. i went to a christmas site and entered some names to see if we were on santa's naughty or nice list and these are some results.

Adair Howell
Just when we were about to give a "Naughty" rating, this one came through last week with a good deed. Great work! Back to the "Nice" list. But watch out for interrupting when others are talking, and burping without an "excuse me"…even when you think no one heard the burp! Remember, I hear it all!

Heather Trauth
Nicer than nice. A real champ! I was really proud of all the hard work that went towards changing those "naughty" habits of last year. Treated friends nicely and was exceptionally honest (which happens to be one of my favorite traits!) It's amazing what a good old fashioned "I'm sorry!" can do for a rating. Keep up the good work!

Amanda Brantley
Still very much on nice list, but must continue good behavior. Should eat more vegetables instead of junk food. Was very polite last Thursday! When doing chores, needs to do them as well as possible. Often exhibits good behavior.

Julie Howell
Much more nice than naughty. Can be very thoughtful. Has improved cleanliness, which I like. Could take better care of toys. Says "thank you" often, but still not as much as I would like. Good mood often spreads to others. Hopefully, will keep up the good work!

Pamela Meyer
Has been on best behavior most of the year! A real "Nice" surprise. Always plays by the rules. Is a good, polite listener, even when bored. Set a new record of only interrupting 75 times in 365 days! Always says "bless you" when somebody sneezes. Every now and then gets a little cranky. (Like last Thursday?) Let's try and keep the good attitude every day!

this one is real funny to me, haha
Steve O'Bryant
"Nice" and getting better all the time! Has shown great improvement with manners and cleaning up the bedroom. A good friend who usually gives good advice. Still has a naughty tendency to leave socks on the floor. Could clean better behind ears and between toes. Is that lint in that belly button? Let's keep working hard!

well enough torture for now, haha.but if you want to see your own name and i didn't already do it go to... http://www.claus.com/naughtyornice/nn_hmpg2.php

people, that is a nice word.

c.o.t.d time. Steve & Margret O'Bryant are my subject of prey for tonight. They deserve to be greatly blessed by God. They believe in people, and young people. They have ALWAYS been BIG supporters of me, when I say I want to do something for God, they have always been right there cheering me on and supporting me. Donating their time, efforts, money, and anything else that I could possibly need. They love God with a passion and that is apparent in their lives. They listen for God's voice and are always willing to help people. If they think there is a need, they fill it. God please bless them continually. And thank you for people who are so loving and supportive.

So I told you that I would talk more about yesterday later, well now is as good a time as any. Not that much to say about it, but I had a good time hanging out with Heather, Gina, and Adair. We went for a super long walk, and it was nice. It reminded me of when I used to go on walks EVERYDAY with Megan, Adair, and sometimes Brittney Grey. Goodtimes.

Tonight was really good at church. It was such a small crowd. But it was really nice, and family like. :) I am pleased.

c.o.t.d: this belongs to the interns at Teen Mania. well the dedicated ones, without people like them I would not be who i am today. it is because of them that I have had some of my life changing experiences. Granted that God did the REAL work, they put their own desires on hold to help other people do things for God. To help spread and send his love to everyone who will recieve it.

More about my day later on. :)

and so I think it is time for another random fact...Did you know that in New Mexico, over eleven thousand people have visited a tortilla chip that appeared to have the face of Jesus Christ burned into it?

Kind of amusing, that must be one awesome Tortilla chip, funny that the person who found it thought it was special enough to save, I probably would have showed everyone in the room and then eaten it. I wonder if it has a miraculous taste?

this cotd is reserved for Dwayne Malone. For as long as I knew him he always inspired me. I recall the first time I ever met him. It was a very exciting occurance. He always made me want to be so much more with God. He walked in a completely different way than the world, a way that I will never forget, and although I don't know where he is right now, I still look up to him. He is so special and different. I hope some where or some day someone can remeber me the way that I remember him. Praise God for other people who make you want to change your ways, even when you are a Christian.

Today I watched THE CUTEST little boys. They were wild, but so cute. They made me want to be a nanny. I doubt I will fulfill that simple spontaneous desire, but you never know what your job will be tomorrow. One day you could be a lunch lady, and the next a taste tester extrodinare for KFC.
Be blessed my home dawgs.
as always,

hello again

c.o.t.d goes to Amanda for being such a good example in her new relationship. She has set a high bar so far for the way she has handled all kinds of things, and I really appreiciate that.

Church was good today. I had fun with Julie and Adair and Brandon at Taco Bell afterwards.

heloo hello hello all,
my dear sweet friends,

Well my C.O.T.D (compliment.of.the.day) will go out to Julie Howell. Ah where do I start? She is one of THE greatest people I know. Honest, reliable, caring, and friendly. She loves God, and is really serious about pursuing Him right now. It's hard to find people who you can really call your friend in these times, and Julie is one of those people. Thank you Julie, and thank God for you. You help keep my hopes up, and my goals high. I love you with all of my heart. :)

So tonight I went to a concert with my parents. It was Norah Jones and the Handsome Band. I think she has a beautiful voice. It's very soothing and I could listen to it all night long. I think I kinda favor that style of voice. I love a voice that can sooth, it's pleasant to the ears.

and now a little food for the soul...it comes from Proverbs 16:3
**Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

Now that is something to live by.

May Peace rest with you tonight.

I have decided to make things a little bit better for those who read my journal. So mush bad goes on in the world, so many people tear people down with their words, so I have decided to try to say something good about someone everyday. When people start being more kind to each other your days will go by happier, and who couldn't use that?

So my first daily journal compliment goes out to my second oldest niece Madison. She has become a very nurturing little girl, with a big heart. She is always giving people hugs and trying to do nice things. Way to go Madison. :)

Also I will share a new interesting fact with you. It's illegal in Alabama to wear a fake mustache that causes laughter in church.

Well I hope your days are brighter, and your life is happier than ever. God be with you all.
