Stupidity occurs. [Nov. 28th, 2006|02:37 am]
Richard
I went out with a friend tonight. When I got back to my car, I noticed all the doors were unlocked.

Shit...

I then noticed my flight bag was gone.

Ooooh shit.

Further searching showed my silver hookah box (containing tobacco, gromits, lights and coal) was gone too.

Fuck!

I don't get it though. My HOOKAH was still in its bag, yet the tobacco was taken. Also my stereo wasn't taken, nor were the CDs.

I just feel like a class-A moron for getting my flight bag stolen; it's probably the number one most important thing I own.

Hopefully I get a call in the morning from someone saying they found it.

Don't feel bad, it happened to me once too. Luckily my logbook wasn't in it at the time but my certificate and medical were... The certificate is easy to get back but the medical took some time.

If your stuff was in there you can go to the FAA website and request a "Temporary Authorization to Exercize Priveledges" which is good for 90 days, that should be plenty of time to get the other stuff going.

Losing my flight bag still hurts sometimes... Someone out there has my headset, my handheld, my GPS, all the stuff I paid good money for... It's just not fair. I feel for you.

What makes that suck most is that most of the stuff in there is super valuable to you and total crap to the creep that stole it.

Yeah that was part of it too, I couldn't help but think that they probably sold all that stuff for 5 bucks or something because they couldn't figure out what it was.
