Rally to Restore Sanity And/Or Fear

It was amazing. It was hilarious, full of surprises (OZZY!), serious and touching in parts, ridiculous at others, and just...WOW. 150,000+ 200,000 people all together. I can't believe they pulled it off! And well! I thought it was just crazy wonderful and am so happy I got to be a part of it in person.

My friend and I got to the Mall at 8 AM and there was already a shit ton of people there. The metro was a MESS already! We were not in the 1st section closest to the stage, but the second section. Everyone was pissed off b/c they put a jumbotron RIGHT in front of the central viewpoint, so even though they would have been far away, we really couldn't even see the stage. Oh well. We were there and we had a hell of a lot better position than the others that were by the Washington Monument - because from what I heard, our "crowd" went from one end to the complete other side of the Mall.

I know I'm leaving things out and that the photos don't exactly match up or stay in order. The Sanity awards, the Feardom awards, the videos, probably more people, but I'm still taking it all in I think. It was a great day.

Now I'm going to crawl into bed and not move until tomorrow morning. I only got 3 hours of sleep and have been up since 6 AM. I'm exhausted!

Monday in Philly, Part 2 AKA CONE BONE

Part 2. AKA the Conan O'Brien post of awesomeness! This post is public since it is about Conan and I might link to it at a comm, so I've added a watermark to the photos just in case. Oh, and I'm sorry so many of my photos suck. My new camera is barely a month old and this is the first time I've seriously used it, so I'm still getting used to the settings.

I'm probably going to upload some video once I get home. There were some things too funny NOT to share!

A few more photos for the end of the day

Hooray! Hahaha, well, it only took us 3 years to have a successfully non-wanky con, you guys! YAY! Sure there will always be people you can't please 100% of the time, but there were no cringe-worthy questions, no prying into personal business too much, and today ran on time and even was a bit ahead of schedule until the autographs and adding Julie.

So, here are the rest of my J2 photos for you all. You know me, I don't take too many photos but I wanted to share what I did take for everyone!

Do you guys like having the thumbnails better? Hopefully it's not too annoying. I figured it'll load faster for everyone that way!

Good night! Tomorrow we're going to the art institute! YAY!

Breakfast and J2 Panel Chicago 2009

This was all typed up SUPER fast so I'm sorry if there are any typos/errors/completely wrong info. I'll come back and fix it later tonight!

The breakfast was a lot of fun! The boys came out at 9:00 and stayed for about a half hour and they were funny! They spoke a lot about Changing Channels and the last episode that just aired. They spoke about working with some of the guest stars. They joked about getting new mopeds and that the ones that they had had before were for 13 years and under and 120 pounds and under, so they have grown up ones now.

They ended with telling a story about an upcoming episode where Samantha Ferris (OMG sorry, I had Smith up herer at first! Wrong Sam!) almost killing them with a prop gun loaded with blanks and how it got jammed and she was waving it around in front of them as she panicked over what was wrong, and then freaked out over THEM panicking. Jared kept playing with the microphone again - and it broke apart in the middle. Every time he touched the mic it would have bad static, so Jensen had to slap his hands away. A few people asked questions, and it was very chill.

2nd Part of Saturday ChicagoCon 2009

We took a break before the other two panels for the day, and Shannen and I sat in on the auction and snarked, which we ALWAYS do. I boo-ed at Twilight, but Gary heard some other guy sitting like 25 rows away, and called him on it, and not me hahaa.

Jim was up next, and he spoke a lot about having to deal with Bobby now being in the wheelchair, joked that he was lazy and that's why he did it. He spoke about his book and how it has helped others and was a bigger deal than he thought it would be. And he spoke some about Harper's Island and something he just finished with John Wayne's grandson, who happens to live across the street from him. He joked around a lot, wore a t-shirt that said "kill them all and let God sort it out" or something. I think it's interesting how interested and serious he is about Bobby being in a wheelchair, and how it brings a "reality" to it as he called it. Misha broke out into his panel and asked why Jim couldn't get dressed up and "at least wear a tie" since Misha was all formally dressed up. It was hilarious!

Then came Misha. Oh, what a guy. Hilarious, sarcastic and dry as hell, and witty, and just...fucks with everyone up there. He never even really answers any questions, he just diverts them and says whatever he wants to say. He insulted Australia and the people down there and how he was pissed he didn't get to see any kangaroos, joking completely of course, and spoke some about how boring it was being an intern in the White House. He started his panel talking about the bikini briefs story, and then later on during his panel Richard came out and they bitched about the pumpkin bikini brief story hahaha and together, they set the story straight. It was too funny! He spoke about yogurt and so many random, crazy things. He seems interested in how people become fans of things and do stuff like this and was asking us questions about it. (I swear, he's going to wind up writing a thesis about it hahaha) and mentioned a couple of the pranks that they've done and also mentioned that his first day of Cub Scouts he went with long, flowing platinum blonde hair and painted fingernails hahaha

After that we had photo ops. I had a duo of Misha and Jim, and it was super rushed. We'll get them back tomorrow afternoon.

Sorry this is so short and choppy, but that's all I can remember for the moment!

I think I really need to invest in a new camera in 2010, because there is this one line in ALL of my photos! Like, the lens is broken or something, so they all look like that with this line down the center of them.

Desert party is the last thing for tonight and then it's time for the boys!

First half of Saturday CreationCon 2009

This morning we had Richard's panel and then Aldis' panel before lunch. After lunch it's Jim and Misha!

Richard was hilarious! He joked about being the "call at the last minute" replacement guest and then spent a lot of time talking about Changing Channels and working on that, how he loved the plot twist, and really enjoyed the sitcom scene a lot. He really enjoyed all of them, but especially that. Oh! And how about that it was ME who was yawning during his panel and he saw me and called me out on it! hahahaha. I just about DIED of embarrassment when he said that!

His funniest story was that after he filmed the CSI scene, the guy who was another cop left and said, "hey I left something for you as a goodbye gift." So Richard goes and sitting in his trailer was a pair of pumpkin colored bikini briefs and he's all WTF?! So he goes around asking to see what was up, and then the guys in the production department give him the actual gift - beers and a thank you card. So, then he naturally assumes that this is a prank from Jared and Jensen. And he joked about having to look up at them to ask and they looked down and said no it wasn't them. So, he can't figure it out. So finally, a guy from the department comes and says, "look we know whose underwear it is." And it's Misha's! hahahaha and Misha told him it was from a fan! And he was eating soup and spilled it all on his outfit, so when they washed it they thought that the underwear was from Richard, so that's why it was in his trailer! So he goes to the underwear and writes something like "This smells like Cass" on the back of it hahahaha. WIN.

Then Aldis was on, who was hilarious! He spoke a lot about Leverage, the technical parts of filming the fight scene in Supernatural, there was a lot of talk about him now knowing how to do some of the things they're doing on Leverage. And he told a prank that Beth played on everyone where there were stickers on their trailers and Chris had "Daddy's girl" and Aldis had "Princess" and Jeri Ryan had "Warning: Blonde Thinking" or something and it took them a week to figure out it was Beth. And then they cut parts of the stickers off so Chris' now says "Daddy" and Aldis' is "Prince." But he said he was having fun on Leverage - and seems like everyone there likes playing pranks too! Aldis was great and called his girlfriend when a girl asked "who would play your leading lady" and he said "my girlfriend" and he told us "this is getting me major brownie points." hahaha.

When I was going back to the room, Aldis was in the same elevator as me. He seems like a really nice guy. I said his panel was hilarious and I enjoyed it.

Friday CreationCon Chicago 2009

So...a bit of drama going on with rumors running about, but a good day overall. Jake Abel had to cancel, so we are getting Richard instead...which I think will be fun. Julie had to reschedule her panel on Sunday, so it was just Alona and Traci today, both who were incredibly sweet, open, funny, and a had great panels. It was really interesting hearing new stuff from Alona since the last time at EyeCon she was pretty...well, bitter I would say about what had happened with her character, but now she's excited and loving that they brought her back and she could be more subtle and play her with more seriousness and knowledge.

Traci is just a blast of energy and fun! She seems like an awesome southern gal who is very chill and cool. She spoke about a play she just finished doing, what she wishes her character might get to do or what she'd want to do, and joked about playing tricks on Misha and Pamela getting revenge on Castiel. Fun gal! I got her autograph and she's very sweet.

Right before the autographs started, Traci and Alona did a little thing up on stage together posing for photos and stuff. And then Traci prank called her mom, who then called her a "little shit" and then started talking about how she likes Jim Beaver hahaha It was really funny!

They did let the audience members ask questions but were screened beforehand (and now I'm beginning to think they REALLY need to screen questions for J2 panel) but this one annoying gal got through on Traci's panel who basically said, "well...no one wanted Jo on the show"...and I REALLY, REALLY hope that Alona wasn't in the room because regardless of if you dislike the character, the actress is here for us this weekend and you don't insult people like that. That was the one annoying thing about today.

Tonight is Steve's concert. I passed Jim Beaver down on the main floor when going back up to my room. And tomorrow I'm really, really excited about Aldis and Misha.

Friday DragonCon 2009 Report - Shatner, Nimoy, Buffy girls, and more!

So, here are the first two days at the con. I have LOTS of photos, video, and audio from the panels I went to. I wrote this up while I was there, at the end of each day, so it might sound weird reading all at once haha. I haven't really edited it yet to find out. :P

Short Recaps of J, J, and J2 panels!

So, I took a nice nap in between the breakfast and the panels because that's when all of the photo ops were. It was NICE TO SLEEP! HAHA

Jared and Jensen Breakfast! ChicagoCon 2008

If you want to use these images for anything, please ask me first. Do not repost these images (or anything else related to the convention) anywhere else without my permission first.

JARED AND JENSEN WERE FANTASTIC! And we haven't had their actual panels yet!

They were both chill and hilarious and Jensen seemed really, really relaxed and more interactive this time, and Jared was stuffing ice packs into his pants and then chest shirt pockets that a fangirl gave him because we were discussing him being all sweaty. They spoke about this season, so in the upcoming video, there are spoilers for an upcoming episode. They were asking us where we were from. They were joking about Jensen having to wear "nut hugger" jeans for an upcoming episode and Jensen was all "Dean, Dean, Dean" all disapprovingly when they were talking about him eating.

Someone gave Jared Lilith's head on a plate - literally, it was like a barbie doll head on a paper plate! HAHA Jared got a good laugh about that. And Jared was all "Does anybody have any food?" and he starts sniffing the air.

Jared did mention Harley and Samantha's dog, and that the boys found some YouTube videos of Friday's panels before coming down for the con to see how it was going HAHA. Jared was all, "I want everyone to meet my dogs, we should bring them with us" and he said they would eat all our food. We kept asking for Jensen to reenact the Eye of the Tiger and they both explained how it really was a spur of the moment thing and that they both went for it and let him film it to the end, and the reason for two cameras (which made some people think that it wasn't impromptu) was that they were filming for real but Jared didn't walk to his mark, he wanted to see what Jensen would do.

They talked about some magicians and that they couldn't figure their tricks out. And Jensen was joking that Jared looked like he was going to crush Genevieve's head in that scene HAHA and Jared came up with this ridiculous bobble head girly laugh that was "Sam's new laugh" HAHA

I'm sure there is more, but that's all my brain can think of at the moment!

Collapse )

So, it's gonna take a while for anything else to show up, the internet connection is so slow, but keep checking that link or my LJ.

ETA: And can I just don my tin hat for a few seconds here? Jared was all rambly about things and Jensen just kinda stood there with this goofy "OMG here he goes again," smile on his face and they seem so relaxed and comfortable with each other SQUEEEEE! OK, tin hat is off and hidden again :P
