FYI and Yay!
So, I got my new laptop the other night! I'm COMPLETELY BROKE now (and worried about May...I hate to say it, but I'm actually really, really worried), but I needed a new laptop like, right away, since my other one crashed. Fandom aside, I cannot function without a laptop for classes and life in general.

Yay! And I've got a "Driver Picks the Music, Shotgun Shuts his Cakehole" sticker already on the front! :P

The situation right now is that I have all my files stored on an external drive that is not in the correct format for Macs. So, I owe people some files and things, and I want to update my websites and try to figure out what is wrong with Sinister Attraction, but I can't make any changes to files on the external until I get it reformatted for my Mac, and that won't be until Sunday at the earliest. So, once I get the drive in the correct format, I'll seriously start looking into why Sinister Attraction is virus infested (especially since I hear Spuffy sites are dropping like flies), get Poetic Attraction back online, and update Sinful Desire. I PROMISE YOU GUYS, NO MORE LAZYING ABOUT.

You have a macbookpro \o/

Me too! Awesome isn't it?

I'll agree with the expensive part. macbook pro's are not cheap!

EEE! YES! I love mine! I'm still pretty lost, but I really think that's because everything is SO EASY I keep expecting there to be a catch! ;)

And no, not cheap at all. But I'm already thinking it's worth it!

I know what you mean. My macbookpro is my first mac computer. I've never used one before. But it's so sickingly easy to teach yourself.

And yes they are definitely worth every penny. b^_^d

What was the main reason you went with a pro? I keep telling myself that I got it for doing my graphic art, and that it had absolutely NOTHING to do with it being oh so pretty and shiny.... it didn't!

I got the 17" ( or which ever ones the biggest) which size did you get?

Be careful though, and make backups of your stuff. >> You know when you use Disk Utility to reformat a drive, it'll erase everything, right?
Rachel_sin_attract on February 9th, 2008 07:29 am (UTC)
Yeah, which is why it'll happen on Sunday at the earliest. My Dad has external hard drives but I don't know if he has one that's big enough, but I visit him on Sundays and will find out. :)

Just making sure. XD I get a little paranoid, given that my job is spent quoting people thousands of dollars in data recovery for doing stupid things to their computers, or not backing up.

Hee! Very understandable! I've learned, after having 2 external hard drives and 3 computers crash on me, that I should have back ups of my back ups. :P

Oh I forget about the different format. I'm using mostly Word for Windows that won't run on a Mac, right? But I guess open office would and that can open (read) word files.
Good luck for you for all going well!

Yeah, well...you can get MS Office for Macs, but I got a program that was $40 cheaper and does the exact same stuff. It's pretty easy to get programs to open Windows apps. :)

Thanks! And I'll keep everyone updated on how the SA virus-removing goes!

Wow, we both have the same wallpaper for our desktops :)

Good luck with getting all your computer issues sorted - can't wait to see some updates for Sinful Desire.
