Don't mind this, non-JRock savvy friends. It's just my playlist for others.

Okay since I'm only just getting back into LJ mode, I am going to do one of those silly New Year's reflection memes because... Because I want to. So there.

So I realize that I haven't posted in ages upon ages. I'm not really sure why, even.

I think the release of MYV's new album is a good event for me to post about though, don't you think?

It came in the mail yesterday with stickers. Stickers make everything more exciting.

As a biased listener of anything MYV writes, I'm, er, rather biased. However, the album is incredible. I love "JPN PRIDE"- it's a great starting track that shows of his ridiculous guitar skills (and how about him breathing into that mic repeatedly? Mmmmm.) And then, probably because I love his softer stuff so much, "徒然なる日々なれど and "Thanx Givin' Day" are just beautiful. The chorus of "徒然なる日々なれど" with strings and, uh, I... I lose coherent thought when I listen to it. And I love that "Thanx Givin' Day" is KAVKI BOIZ free, as much as I love them, most of the time.

I didn't think I could be any more excited to see him live in May, but apparently I was wrong. Very wrong.

Ahem. Besides MYV news, I got into and am attending Berklee College of Music this fall! I'm so relieved/excited/ecstatic/on edge/ridiculously nerdy (in general). Other than that, high school is a waste of my time, but I want to keep this entry on a positive note.

I miss Japan.

Oh, and Gackt is sexy. That needed to be said.

How have you all been doing?

::edit:: I promise I'll start uploading stuff that has been on my to-do list for months. I'm so sorry for the delays!

Soooo, I've been away for quite some time. I was grounded for a while, and then school attacked my time, etc etc.

I visited colleges a few weeks ago in New York and Boston. I saw Sarah Lawrence and Berklee College of Music. Both were amazing, but I want to go to Berklee so so so so badly.

How are all of you? My brother got new shoes today. It was an epic event, because I swear he's worn nothing but flip flops for the past year or so. And has the tans to prove it.

Speaking of epic, WoW just released the most amazing patch ever. Yes, I am a nerd. They cut the amount of exp. needed to level by 20% across the board, and increased exp. gained from quests and mobs. Huzzah!

That's it for now. ♥

(Yet another) amazing Jimmy Eat World concert tonight. They played a fantastic mix of stuff from Clarity, Bleed American, Futures, and their new cd Chase This Light. I heard things I'd never heard before, even having seen them so many times.

I hate people who think they're a moshing band.

I can't think of anything better than watching a musician doing what they love more than anything in the world.

I'd better get into Berklee.

Huzzah. I am free from the confines of being grounded for the first time in my life.
