Fic: The Visual Spectrum: Seeing the Light (Xander R)
It is a sad day indeed. Joss has proclaimed ME no more. I can cry into my foamy drink or I can let go and just let it all hang out. Here I am, letting it all hang out.

In memoriam of one of the greatest production companies, ever, I post a sad little tale. I'll never see my Spike again but he lives on in my heart and in my fic. Now, back to the foamy drink.

Title: The Visual Spectrum: Seeing the Light
Rating: Soft R
Summary: Xander makes a deadly error in judgment and only pieces the puzzle together when it is much too late.
Timeline: Post LMPTM, goes AU after that.
Pairings: Allusions to Xander/Anya romance and Xander&Spike friendship
Warnings: Major character death, abstract stream of consciousness, and allusions of rape and/or possible non-con. *This is not a happy fic!*
Disclaimer: Not mine, wish they were
Beta: crazydiamondsue, who somehow managed to boost my ego, in part insightful wisdom and keep me on track, all in the same sentence.
A/N: This is a stand alone piece but one day I'd like to explore the story further.
A/N 2: This is not at all a shipper fic of any kind although it does deal with Xander's feelings towards Anya and his budding friendship with Spike.

Current Mood: contemplative contemplative

I'm sorry, Sharv. James says I fell asleep at 9:15 while trying to read. I woke up in the middle of the night and my computer had been put on the bedside table. I don't remember a thing. I must have been completely dead to the world.

But I've printed this and a few others to read while I'm on the plane today. ;-)

No problem. It's not like this is hot off the presses or anything, it'll keep until you have time. Please don't fret about it, especially since your mind is on more important things. If you fell asleep so early it sounds like the stress is doing a number on your body. I'm hoping the week flies by...for both of us.

Have a good, relaxing flight!

I read it! I read a fanfic again! ;-)

It was very good, Sharv...one of the best things you've ever written. After reading it, I just sort of sat there and looked out the plane windown...thinking about how damn good it was. I'm really impressed. And I don't mean that lightly. I mean, I'm really impressed. You're one of the most very best writers on LJ. (You got a crazy creation process, but when you post, it's damn good.)

*big BIG hugs*

*lol* Crazy is right. And you've seen it, so you know. *bg*

And you're reading fanfic again. Yay! And you liked it! Double Yay! This really is one of my fav pieces, but it's so out there it never really found an audience. I'm really glad gen_storyteller came along so I could dig this out again. Reminded me why I loved to post fanfic. Also, it isn't every day I get to impress you....especially into contemplative silence. Wow. ;-)
