So I haven't posted for months:

Posts on LJ in 2009: 6
Posts on LJ in 2008: 3
Posts on LJ in 2007: 76

And as a result I can't be bothered remembering how to do LJ cuts. Apologies. Here is the obligatory meme. I deleted the questions that were stupid, boring, or that I couldn't be bothered answering!

1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Be THE music teacher at a primary school to 210 kids, learn more about looking after a husband, teach scripture, play bass guitar at church, go kayaking at Cott beach, go to the beach at 6.30am on a Friday for months straight (through winter), and other things.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make resolutions. I do like the fact that at the moment 2010 is a perfect year. There are no disappointments, no sad days, no days where I didn't quite achieve what I wanted to. I almost don't want it to come.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

4. Did anyone close to you die?
My Pa died early in the year. He was a gentleman.

5. What countries did you visit?
I visited more of WA :) Went to Kalbarri, Collie, Yallingup, Ledge Point and maybe some other places.

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
More active, outdoorsy activities. More work-life balance. better organisation. Better health for Matt.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not really. I was remarkably healthy. Usually get more colds in winter than I did. Battling through health with Matt though.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Friends and family. I have great friends and a great family.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Hmmmm... don't know! Probably a tie between photography gear and living expenses :P

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
My sister's wedding, going down to Yallingup with family about a week ago, the holidays

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? sadder
ii. thinner or fatter? about the same
iii. richer or poorer? possibly richer

20. How will you spend Christmas?
Church, Matt's family lunch, My family dinner :)

22. Did you fall in love in 2009?
I was already in love, but it's not a stagnant love, it's a love that keeps growing.

24. What was your favourite TV program?
So You Think You Can Dance and Man Vs Wild

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was 23 and I taught scripture, read the bible with Jennie, hung out with Pam and Mum/had lunch? and then had dinner with some friends at Sienna's.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
Rushed? Confused? I never know what to wear in the morning. It's one of the hardest decisions of my day!

36. What kept you sane?
My logical and reasonable brain. It stops me getting emotional about stupid things. Friends. Family. My perspective on life. God.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009.
Everybody's got things in their lives that they have to suffer through. Life sucks a lot of the time. Nobody is perfect. Everyone is very flawed, even me. But there is a hope at the end that makes it all worthwhile.

All in all, I'm more than ready to give 2009 the boot. Bring on a newer, better year :)

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die
a time to plant and a time to uproot
a time to kill and a time to heal
a time to tear down and a time to build
a time to weep and a time to laugh
a time to mourn and a time to dance
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them
a time to embrace and a time to refrain
a time to search and a time to give up
a time to keep and a time to throw away
a time to tear and a time to mend
a time to be silent and a time to speak
a time to love and a time to hate
a time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

I wouldn't throw away any time or any experiences I have had. Yes, sometimes life feels a little bit like you're that lonely tree, encased in snow, suffering through the cold, all leaves stripped away. But that is what teaches us to have hope. Winter is a season, eventually new growth comes, new leaves sprout, and warm sun will bathe the branches of the tree in comfort. Grass will spring up beside it, and it will bear fruit. Everybody weathers storms and endures hardships, but only for the hope that summer will come. I have a great hope.

"If there were no tribulations, there would be no rest;
if there were no winter, there would be no summer."
- St. John Chrysostom

shmeh is my new favourite word. It could be lame, but I'm not sure yet. In other news, I have dubbed the vehicle that I am driving the "P'Chrizz Mobizz" - you work it out.

As I am now driving the P'Chrizzmobizz, I have given the Alizzle Mobizzle to my little sis, as she doesn't have her own car, so I'm sure she is having lots of fun driving it about 2km to uni and back! Lol.

My brain is not working today. I came home from family lunch with wet washing and proceeded to forget to hang it out until Mumi popped in many hours later to see the new furniture arrangement of our house. We moved all the furniture around last night and did lots of cleaning. I did less of all this, but I also cooked spag bol with veggie overload and salad and did the washing up. Matt has been doing lots of little things around the house that are things i've been staring at for about a year and ignoring. Like the mould on the bathroom ceiling, or the random socks that were lying around. It's pretty awes.(ome)

I went to a PD yesterday for primary music teachers. We spent the whole day standing up, doing body percussion, singing, dancing, playing recorders and xylophones. I got very excited when Fuzzy the Clown danced. But it was SO exhausting! By the end I was having trouble lifting my feet to walk to the beat, and then my group got very silly with scarves. But I won one of their raffles and got a set of recorder books. And I bought some stuff, including a xylophone, for school. There goes my budget for the year. (I'm not joking! It's good to spend it now.)

Hello world, this is me
Life should be, ooo ooo yeah, fun for everyone.

Hopefully I have still remembered how to do italics on LJ. Well today has been good, shall we say. I enjoyed a spiffing lunch with the family and told my new joke. I can't tell it here, because it requires actions. Suffice to say, it's not as funny as my starfish joke, but it's up there in the top 100.

My sister is getting married in a week! Woohoo! Crazles. Hope the weather is good.

In other news, I have a new black hoodie, I usually rotate about 4 pairs of earrings and don't wear the rest, I don't plan what I'm going to wear the night before, I often forget to take out the rubbish and stink my kitchen out, my favourite meal to eat is chicken and sweet potato risotto, I bought a pair of shoes for $11.25 a few months ago, I'm going to be a bridesmaid on Sunday, and I just went through my old LJ and found all the stories I had written about Harvey. There are 6 in total.

There you go, some random facts to keep you going. Fo shizzle. Laterz!

Hmm... eating doonas... don't think that's something that I feel like doing. Besides, my doona is all the way in the cupboard and I can't reach it. (For those confused listeners, check my new years resolutions!)

In other news, I start official teaching on Tuesday. It goes yr5, yr6, yr4, yr2. Then on Wed it goes yr1, yr7, yr3, choir. First lessons as a real life teacher! Arg!

No more to say. My sister is engaged!!!!!

It was really cold this morning! Quite exciting because I love winter! I also love summer... I like seasons best at their beginning, when it's all new and you're not sick of being cold or hot. I remember a lot of my posts have been at the beginning of the warm weather, thinking - wow, it's so exciting! I can go to the beach! Or at the beginning of winter saying - wow, ugboots and doonas and jumpers! But such are the things that excite me in life :)

Now for a meme...

I thought I probably should post something seeing as I haven't written anything since January! Yes, I'm now married, and loving every minute of it :)

I love days like this, pouring with rain and filling up lakes and overflowing bits - it just feels so nice to be relaxing inside, hearing the rain pour down on the roof, and seeing paths turn into rivers and roads into one big puddle. Feeling the weather start to turn colder, and pulling out jumpers and long pants and scarves and ugboots.

I've been eating a lot of chocolate lately, left over from easter - but most of it is gone now :( Oh well. I don't feel like I have much left to say... goodbye

I really enjoyed hanging out with my family and my friends today. Started the day with Matt, and we went and had breakfast at the park where we're getting wedding photos done, so I could see it. And we walked all around it, and Matt took lots of photos, and I got to see all the pretty spots and waterfalls and steps and trees and bridges. It's really cool! And then we walked into King's park and saw the big trees with the roots and other spots for photos. It was very hot, so we were tired out when we got back to my house.

Then we went to Anna's and hung out with friends, had a nice long swim which tired me out greatly, and I ate chips and chatted and it was fun. Then back home we went, and had dinner and played board games with Mum and Dad and Pam and Chris. Fun day!

But perhaps the most exciting thing about it was that Matt helped me put some music on my phone so I could finally get rid of my dratted ringtone! Praise the Lord! I hated it every time my phone rang cause I had to listen to some crappy Nokia song that was the best I could get. And now! I won't want to answer my phone cause I'll be bopping along to Sweet Child of Mine (guns n roses) - Oh yeah. So I've got 10 songs on there in total, and I allocated ringtones to a couple of other people too, so it's really cool!! So exciting. I hated that ringtone so much.

Anyway, bedtime :) I'm getting married this year!!! ONE MONTH! or 4 WEEKS and 4 DAYS!!
