These are long fantasy novels, but that doesn't stop them from being page-turners. Book 2 is a prequel and takes place in a different country, so it can be read before or after Book 1. Book 3 is mostly a sequel to Book 1, though it has a few elements from Book 2.
They have slow-burn, very shippable m/f pairings. We know through a quick f/f flashback that the protagonist of Book 2 is bisexual. Book 3 has minor m/m and minor f/f.
If you enjoy this trilogy, check out Jane, Unlimited by the same author. It's a multi-genre f/f novel loosely based on "choose your own adventure" books.
