I really love participating in galleries and going to exhibitions and meeting people, but this gallery I'm working on for Monday has me swearing off galleries for good. Just within the past 2 days I spent over $160 dollars, which is practically most of my paycheck.

You begin to lose the whole fun in galleries when you're spending every dime on prints and matting/mounting. I was lucky enough to get my photos mounted for tomorrow, if the girl at the camera store wasn't so kind and wonderful, I might be in a bigger hole than I am in now.

I'm pretty pleased with the quality of the photos, but I don't think I'll be looking forward again to another solo exhibition. At least until I am well off financially. Ow, my pocket hurts.

Almost at the 150 mark!

This morning was pretty insane. Our friend Gary came over last night and spent the night. In the morning, Gary and I went to go get his car so we could park it in a better place and when we got to it, there was not only a ticket on his window, but he also had a flat tire. So we basically spent the next 2 hours calling AAA and going to a tire store nearby and waiting for a tow truck. I believe he has everything all situated now. I'm glad it worked out okay, I was getting worried that it was going to be much more of a hassle.

John is at the animal shelter now with Anon getting a checkup. I hope he is able to come home soon since we have a lot to take care of. I have to deposit the money for the rent and pay the internet bill, and do all of this before 5pm, otherwise we're screwed. Happy first of the month!

I want to go out today, but I think I'm going to take it easy. Last night was fun, but we also suffered the effects of copious amounts of liquor in our system.

I still need a couch, or even a futon (but only with a wooden frame). I keep checking on Craigslist's "free" page, but everything seems to go so quickly. You have update that page every second if you want something good.

I just cannot wait until I get my tax return. I'm getting much more money than I ever expected. This will be nice.
