I plan on going to a free concert tonight right in my 'hood. These are the good things about Chicago. They have free concerts in the park every week at different locations, usually on the north side. I know I have mentioned them before, but a local band from the south side is playing the free show that is tonight, which is very, very cool. Sam Sinclair Trio. I dig their sound a lot, so it should be a good time. Hopefully, my friends can make it there to enjoy it with me.

John and I have decided to go to Michigan next week. We have all these glass beer bottles that we need to refund. That is really our whole motivation for going. Does anyone know where to drop these things off? I researched it and could only find that some Kroger grocery stores have these vending machines, but I have no idea where they are.

I've been cleaning all day. Exhausted. I must finish up soon as I plan on going to this festival near my place where I will probably meet up with some friends. Yet, I have so much to do! For being such a little one bedroom apartment, it still takes me hours to clean it all. I guess it never seemed to take that long since I would usually have John helping me, but he's at work and will be there all day long. Poor fella.

The actor Vince Vaughn has been shooting a movie in my hood for the past few weeks, and only a block away from my apartment. I walked passed the bar that they were filming at a few days ago and saw all this video equipment there. It's cool to be a part of it in a way. So when you see this movie, you can say, wow, Lisa lives right there! Maybe I can find my way into being an extra somehow...

I'm anticipating this week. There is a possibility I might meet up with this couch surfer. He's staying on my side of the town and was looking for a few people to hang out with. He's coming in on Wednesday and will be staying for a month. I haven't met the guy, but he seems like a lot of fun. I should probably invite him to the drum circle that will be happening on Thursday, that's really all I have going on at the moment.

My pants are beginning to slowly slip right off my waist. I moved from the second notch on my belt to the forth. I take this as a sign that I'm losing weight again. I feel better. My body feels slender. When I start working a lot, I usually tend to lose weight. For one thing, I never ever eat on my break. I'm sorry, but 15 minutes is not enough time for me to enjoy a meal, so I usually have a granola bar or an orange or...nothing at all. I've been drinking so much tea that it is practically coming out of my nose. I've been getting back into yoga as well. It's always such a weird feeling when you go from doing yoga regularly to occasionally. I feel like jello after every session. I kind of like the feeling.

I walk every single day to and from work, as well as to friend's houses and events and such. Walking is so much easier when you're on the North Side. There is simply no other way to get around (well, obviously the train and buses) but with cars, forget it. Parking is pain all around. My poor car probably hates me since I'm giving it too much rest, but I prefer it this way.

(BTW, go Hawks!)

(Has anyone seen the new video by M.I.A.? Craaaaazy.)

Sometimes I'm weary of posting things on here now. Just because I know people who know me who like to read what I write. It kind of bothers me in a way. Almost to the point of where I don't even want to post anymore.

Anyway, this is me in my living room. It's quite messy at the moment. We desperately need a couch...our backs hurt from sitting on the floor.
