There's a blizzard out there. I was dressed and all ready to go to this art market downtown, and then I walked outside. The high winds brushed against me and pulled me in all different directions. My glasses were getting fogged up and it became more and more difficult to see. So, I ended up going to the local pizza restaurant and getting 2 huge "monster" slices as they call it, and sat at home watching a movie.

I feel bad for anyone who has to run errands and work today. Blehh. It looks pretty though. You can't really tell the blizzard that is happening at this moment in my photo, but you can see our happy faces.

I actually did not end up going to the Inception party. Would've been cool, but I ended up going to a store to buy pants and art supplies to start my Etsy project. Sometimes I'm very indecisive and don't follow things through, and end up doing something completely different; I'm just weird like that I suppose.

I'm going over to my friend's house tonight for dinner and wine. That, I'm pretty certain I will go to, hah.

These next few months are going to be so crazzyy omg. I'm almost kind of scared.

Anon woke me up early this morning by meowing constantly. She quickly ran out of the room right as I was getting up. Then she came back in as I was opening the shades to bring it some light. She jumped up on the windowsill, so I figured she just wanted to take a picture with me.

I have a lot of things planned for today that I must get done as well. Hopefully, tonight I can make it downtown to go to this mingle and a movie party. Free drinks and free food and a free admittance to see Inception. Haven't seen it before, so this sounds like a lot of fun.

Last night we had brief visitors by Dennis and Sean and a couple of Coronas. Before I had moved here, I was worried that none of our friends would come up, but I am surprised and thankful by their efforts. Sometimes I think they want to come up here way too often, hah!

I've never really been a big movie person, but I now appreciate movies a lot more considering I don't have cable. Netflix is a God send, seriously. I don't know what I would do without Netflix....not really, but it's nice to have. I've seen so many beautiful, funny, and inspirational movies that I never would've discovered without this service. I think it just makes things a lot more enjoyable, don't you think?

I discovered a bruise on the back of my right thigh thanks to CiCi's boyfriend, Luke. We went out Wednesday night since his friends from Philly were in town, on their way to the west coast. We went from bar to bar to bar, and then, we stop in a Philly bar. Luke says, "Go Flyers!" in a bar full of Pittsburgh Penguins fans and all hell breaks loose (since the game just ended and the Pens lost). This guy gets up and shoves Luke, he loses his balance, and there I am in front of them, so they fall right into my leg. Ugh, bar fights are so lame. My leg hurt that entire night and still does. I always hate when I find myself in those situations. It totally could've been avoided if I was only a few more inches to the left. Don't you hate when that happens?

Anyway. Today was a lovely day. I got these stitches of clothing from the Unique Thrift Store by my place. I got this outfit for 5 bucks! These are my new Lady GaGa Paparazzi sunglasses as well.

Anon was being a great model. I look like crap.

She really wanted to join me for this shoot. So I picked her up and she gave me her best face.

CiCi, Luke, John and I went to see "The Vagina Monologues" that are our friend Chrissy was preforming in. It was really really good. Impressive, funny, sad...and vaginas! I feel so empowered now having seen that hah. I love women. :)

Embrace your vaginas, ladies.

This morning was a good morning. Decided to hop on the train and hang around the Belmont stop for a few. Visited Dunkin Donuts and a few shops. Finally have a mat for the bathroom. It looks like a fuzzy green flower...or maybe green slime. Anyway, it brightens things up a bit. We bought this pasta shaped like cats and some dish towels so we can stop using my face towels (bleh!).

There's a neat video store around in this area, which I hadn't noticed before. They have some decent movies and their policy is pretty sweet. We don't have to pay until we give it back. So we rented District 13, which is like a French version of District 9. We've been trying to look for it for a while and finally came across it. Should be good.

Has anyone seen Whip It directed by Drew Barrymore? That was going to be my next choice.

After coming home, I found out something very exciting. I came in first place and won 126 bucks in that photo competition on Competico for "Best Portrait". Check it out here: ; But thanks to everyone who voted for me. :)

I begin working at my new store on Monday. I'm excited, yet nervous. New people, new atmosphere, new rules...going to a different store is going to be extremely odd, but I'm ready. I'm getting a lot of hours this week, which is cool. They said they needed help, which is why they took me on. I'll need hours. This is exactly what I was hoping for, and gee, look at that, I got my wish. More hours = more money, certainly don't mind having more spending money.

We went to the Blackhawks game last night against Vancouver. Hawks won that game 6-2. That shit was in the BAG. Looking forward to the playoffs. Nothing will get accomplished during playoff season. Tonight we're going to Kinetic Playground to catch a Talking Heads tribute band. Should be fun, I hear they're really good. Then maybe head over to the Green Mill for some drinks and jazz music!
