This will be of no interest to anyone except maybe c_potter.

Today had the potential to be a great day. I think I'm finally starting to get over my three-week-long illness, my article on Palin as an anti-feminist was published with a picture and received well, I don't have any immediate homework I need to do, I actually felt inspired to write a little, and I get to sleep in late tomorrow.

Then my #1 ranked Trojans lost their first conference game of the season to unranked Oregon State. Again.

It was unbearably awful. My roommates and I watched the entire game, and our expressions basically went: ... -> :| -> :o -> :( -> o_o -> ;__________________________;

By the time we reached the last three minutes, the team was defeated, Mark Sanchez looked like he was about to break down, and all of us watching at home were contemplating hara-kiri. We had neighbours and friends over, and we were all screaming and clutching each other and tearing our hair out. It was like last year's loss to Stanford, except even worse, because we were a near unanimous #1 and now our BCS hopes are pretty much dashed :(

I still love my team to death, but I really did lose faith in them towards the end of the game tonight.

ETA: I totally forgot, I was going to post about this the other day, but it slipped my mind. Frank Warren of PostSecret came to my campus to speak on Tuesday, and he was incredible. I had tears in my eyes for a good portion of the event, and when people went up to share secrets (I did, too :">), it turned into a bawl fest. It was an amazingly cathartic experience.
