Batman's all business

well look who's alive....

,OMG. I had to exile myself from pretty much all things internet for the last couple of weeks while I threw myself into doing nothing but work, work, work. A builder/designer award entry deadline is due Monday, so I got slammed. Pretty much a different photoshoot every day, all week long, for two weeks. But last night I finally got the last set of photos ready for mailing and basked in the glow of being completely finished a day ahead of schedule. God, it felt good.

Meanwhile when I was away, I found out someone nominated my art for the dramione_awards! Thank you whoever nominated me! And on top of that I received this:

omfg, I'm speechless! Thank you!

Since I am through with work for at least another week or so, I get to take all next week to do nothing but draw. I plan on bustin' out at least 2 commissions and collab. project I'm working on.
Yesterday I needed to decompress, so I played around a bit with something quick and easy. And since I can never say no to the hp_fringeart's January Imitation of a Famous Work of Art Challenge....

Title: Luna
Rating: G
Notes: for the hp_fringeart January challenge: imitation of a famous work of art

HP Fringeart November Challenge

I had to take a little break from the 4 commissions I'm working on before I screw one of them up by overworking them. So I decided to brush up on my colored pencil skills since I haven't used them in ages. This is for the hp_fringeart November challenge: colored pencils. Fawkes and Nagini. What is it with me and the phoenix and the snakes?

hpfringeart challenge art

Well, I'm almost 98% done with my snarry_games art. This is probably the longest I've ever worked on a piece before, it's killin' me. But I had to take a break from all the emo that picture is radiating and do the most colorful, teddy bear of a picture I could come up with. This is for the hp_fringeart September challenge: Elements. It's Luna. And a bunch of butterflies. And it's so damn cheerful she might as well be riding a unicorn over a rainbow.

Enjoy.

(no subject)

Holy crap, it's like rl decided to drop what feels like a years worth of stuff for me to do all in the span of a few days. There is so much of it I don't even know where to begin. But it's all paying off amd I'll elaborate more on that later. ;)

Oh, by the way, here's a piece for hp_fringeart March challenge of fraternizing with the enemy. It's Draco/Hermione and they're just having a little bit of fun. Because you know they really dig each other.

yet again, another for the fringeart b&w challenge..

I wanted to do one more for the hp_fringeart b&w challenge before I start on gift art that's due at the beginning of March. I'm friends with a whole bunch of tattoo artists, which helped me get inspired for this pic. I wanted to do something like tattoo flash art, and since all the books are rife with dragons, mermaids, and other typical tattoo fare, it was begging to be done.

Batman's all business

ooooh, two posts in one night.

I wanna cram this in here tonight too. The February challenge at hp_fringeart is black & white. So trying to be some kind of over achiever I got started early. Here's my first submission, I know it's a little off the mark with what I usually do, but bear with me I thought I try a little something different.

another one for the Fringeart Challenge

Since I enjoyed doing the the first submission for the hp_fringeart imitation challenge so much, I decided to do another. I'm having loads of fun doing these. This one is based Frederic Leighton's The Fisherman and the Syren, and depicts Harry in the second task of the Triwizard Tournament.
Enjoy!
