so there has been a pro-life booth in the SUB over the last few days, and i had a little encounter with the people at the booth today.
i was walking past with two friends, and one of them said she didn't want to deal with the booth. one of the guys manning the booth asks us, "and how would you 'deal with it' if you got pregnant?" i looked him in the eye and said, "i'd have an abortion".
i've never seen a jaw drop so fast in my life.

I've screened comments on this post, so if you comment on it, your comment won't be seen by other people. Iif you reply, I'll come up with a line or two about you and put it in a followup comment to yours. So, if I understand how screened comments work, I'll still wind up with a nameless list of person-comments, but everybody will know which comment is directed to *them*.
"A woman's got to love a bad man once or twice in her life to be thankful for a good one." - Marjorie Rawlings
ain't that the truth.
Hope is a state of mind, not of the world. Hope, in this deep and powerful sense, is not the same as joy that things are going well, or willingness to invest in enterprises that are obviously heading for success, but rather an ability to work for something because it is good."
"I just need to know that someone out there listens and understands and doesn't try to sleep with people even if they could have. I need to know that these people exist." --the perks
they do exist.
