Fic post: The Sky Is Falling

Oh man, I love this so very much. I've got nothing particularly coherent to say except I love that they're in France, that they're trying to solve this thing, and still having a day to day kind of life post possibly the end of the world. It's just lovely!! The different moments that mean hope and hopelessness and missing family, missing home, the separation... gah, I just really loved it.
That's awesome! And really, a lot of apocalypse stories just kind of gloss over the fact that no one ever sends a memo that says 'you can't go home, give up now,' so the acceptance has got to be a gradual thing, yeah? With denial and anger and sadness and acceptance. *pets woobies* Luckily, there's wine, and they're in France, so no one is going to disapprove of indulging, even if it means there won't be as much later.
If you're going to get stranded somewhere, pick a place with good wine, I say.
I think that being stranded in a place with good wine is an absolute must:)
