Title: The God of Poets Has Two Hands
Fandom: Stargate SG-1, spoilers for S10, Line in the Sand
Warnings: None (gen)
Word count: 2,300
Authors Note: great thanks, as always, to rydra_wong for discussion and beta. Thanks also to synecdochic and paian for discussions and encouragement.
Prompt: the burdens of leadership - [I talk] about a strong, demanding love. And I have seen too much hate. (MLK Jr)
Summary: backstory, family, allies, heroics and fame. In 2,000 words.

“Warriors, of great renown,
Warriors walked the water road.
At the welcome of Thilana, open-handed,
On the threshold of the fire-throwers..."

(Let's face it, Bra'tac is incredibly awesome.)
(And an obliging protagonist, mostly.)
(Listen, shout out if you'd like to see a commentary on this. I'm still kind of in love.)

Hrm, first fic ever where feedback is along the lines of 'I don't really know what that was about, but I think it was well done? Maybe?' ? *g*

I'm really glad you liked it.

it's more like reading an orig fic -- i have to do more than wallow in the squee of my normal romantic reading experience, you know?

We obviously need some sort of gen equivalent of "I'll be in my bunk" *g*.

I'm working on it already! Just trying to make sure I'm not pointing out the extremely obvious...
