Hello everyone and welcome to my journal!

I have been on livejournal since 2003 and joined the Harry Potter fandom around that time as well! I first started writing fanfiction when I was 14 but took a long, long break and just recently began to write again in Fall of 2015. I'm also a huge fan of Star Wars and complete Kylux trash. I mostly use my journal these days for posting fiction and reviews and fandom but there is also the occasional personal post.

Even with all the TOS LJ drama going on I still have such a soft spot for this site. Before I had a myspace, facebook, youtube, and all those other sites, I had a livejournal (and a ff.net account, oh boy! haha). I remember you used to need an invite from an existing member and my childhood friend (who I am still friends with <3) invited me and then my entire group of friends (I wanna say I was a freshman in high school) all joined on. Back then I didn't bother with communities or anything like that--LJ was a fun social platform for all my HS friends to make posts, inside jokes, personal stuff, ect. Ugh it's so nostalgic just to think about. Now mostly all my friends have crosses through their usernames or haven't updated in many years but I still like to look back at those old posts.

Anyway, I'm rambling. I know I haven't been around since my last pseudo-cryptic ~I'm leaving~ post but even this past week away has been beneficial for me in a way. I hope I can fully recover and come back and be much more productive/active. Time will tell!

I just wanted to pop in briefly to mention I’ll likely be less active here on LJ/DW/IJ and in HP fandom. I’ve been a bit distant in the past few months for several reasons and (recent LJ drama aside) I’m finding that while a lot of this community makes me super happy there are a lot of parts that bum me out.

I’ll still be doing my modly duties and keeping in touch with those I message/email/g-chat with (your friendships mean the world to me) but I’m not sure how many more fests I will participate in or how often I will post here/interact here. Maybe time will tell.

Sorry for the dark vibes of this post--I don’t want to spread any negativity but just wanted to give everyone a heads up so it doesn’t seem like I’ve disappeared into thin air.

For those freaking out (understandably so) I really reccomend actually reading the agreement. I've seen a lot of posts of major meltdowns where the user admits they didn't even read the agreement themselves. Yes it's time consuming, some parts are difficult to understand (and it all may not matter since the actual legally binding agreement is only available in Russian) but it doesn't hurt to give it a read before signing and then biting your nails and wondering what you may have agreed to.

As far as I can tell the agreement is not too different from other agreements when joining websites. Legally, you are only beholden to the laws of your resident country (as far as getting into trouble with the authorities) but the power to delete and purge your account (without any provided reason--I did read this part carefully) is up to the new ownership at LJ.

Long story short; the "worst" thing that could happen is your journal is deleted. Which is pretty terrible and makes me extremely sad since I've had this account since 2003. So, yeah I would reccomend backing up anything important and perhaps having an account at an other platform just in case.

Whoops, nearly forgot to post my March Masterlist. Better late than never!

Didn't write too much last month partly because I was out of the country for a bit and partly because I haven't been as inspired lately but I hope to get back into the swing of things come April.
