Harry Mulisch, the last of 'the great three' of Dutch post-war writers, died last night at age 83. Internationally he is probably best known for his novels The Assault and The Discovery of Heaven.

I'm not familiar with Mr. Mulisch, but the red pocket kerchief is very snazzy, and I like the green jar (sea shells?).

Yes, they do look like starfish and sea urchins(?) and such. How odd. Poor thingies (if they're real).
