I've started keeping track of Collapse )

Steph tagged me for a meme! Now, I don't usually do memes, but this one made me go back and look anyway, so I may as well share...

Sometimes it's okay to pimp yourself out. Post a list of the top five favorite picspams you've made, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written made, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.

5. The Interactive Picspam
I was feeling blue and invited people to help me create an interactive V/L picspam in the comments. It was the impetus for both vmpicspam and fandom_picspams.

4. That Blue and Green Movie
Pride & Prejudice is just pretty. That's all.

3. The Only Living Dead Girl.
This one is the idea more than the execution. An AU picspam! Whodda thunk it?

2. Smile Time!
Pam smiling her way through (most of) season 2. I still go back to this one when I need a quick pick-me-up. I think there really needs to be a complimentary Jim picspam, concentrating on all his FAAAACES, but a) it's pretty much been done to death, and b) I'm lazy.

1. V/L: MFEO
I love pretty much everything about this picspam, and it's the one I'm the proudest of. It took about four months from inception to posting. The actual putting together of the picspam wasn't that big a deal, but coming up with parallels was an on-going process during that entire time. And then I had to cap all of season 2 because I wanted to use DVD caps for it. And when the season 3 DVDs come out I'll be replacing the season 3 images.

I don't think anything is ever going to top my number one, Collapse )

I'm still trying to figure out how to structure my VM finale post (I'm not even thinking about what I'm going to say), but at least the caps are up.

Still bored. I resort to spam.

It's been about a month since the fall season really got under way, so I thought I'd do a recap of what's what and what's not. Viewable, that is.

(I'm just looking at this site, I can't really be sure they've got everything. But I think they do...except they don't have foreign shows, like Hex.)

HOLY CRAP, that was long. And rambly. Oh, and I wonder when Scrubs is returning...

Okay, so not so much with the spoilers there, don't even know why I bothered to cut it.

All this Firefly quotage on my flist reminds me: I won't be seeing it until November 11th at the earliest, so if you're on my flist and you're planning to talk about movie spoilers openly in your journal (yes, even a month and a half after the premiere) without cutting would you mind telling me so I can take you off my reading filter? And if you spoil me I'll shove you in Serenity's engine. (A vague disclaimer and all that jazz...)

Oh, and I also capped A Midsummer Night's Dream, but since it was a request I didn't upload a zip.

And I'm actually not done yet, I've just run out of server space. I'm planning on tackling Doctor Who now, then The Peacekeeper Wars and finally some West Wing. Told you I was in a capping mood. =)

But that's not all I've been doing, I've been watching TV too! And movies! Collapse )

Back early

Due to unforeseen circumstances the sailing trip was cut short. Midsummer was glorious - sunshine and hardly a cloud in the sky. See icon for photographic evidence. Saturday was rainy and dreary, but today the wonderful weather returned, albeit in a cooler version. Let me tell you, it's bizarre to experience a Midsummer Night's Eve with no rain. According to reports we haven't had a Midsummer this nice since the early 90s.

All my reading plans went up in smoke with this early return. I only managed to read one book - Rats Saw God (which I enjoyed a great deal) - and the other ten books I brought along remain unopened. But I did reread theohara's season 2.

Have caught up on my flist. Almost... Haven't read fic and I have about ten tabs still open in Mozilla (most of them the aforementioned fic). I worked through quite a lot though, I must've had 50 tabs open by the time I'd gone all the way back to Thursday. Needless to say I didn't comment on anything. Fic posts will be read tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow, I still have three days off and I'm in the mood for capping, so what should I cap?
