Dreaming

I have decided that I am going to try and teach myself to dream Lucidly. That is, to have the ability to control my dreams.

I have been trowling through the internet and there are plenty of sites on the matter all telling you that it is quite hard work. You have to have a lot of will power and commitment apparently and keep a very detailed dream diary.

So I am going to start keeping a pen and paper besides my bed so that the second I wake up I can write down my dreams in note form them write them up in full in livejournal as dream diary posts.

Apparently the key to lucid dreaming is to realise when you're dreaming that you actually are dreaming and then you can think "coo - i'm dreaming - I can do whatever I want" but its easier said than done. Apparently I've got to look for things about dreams that distinguish them from real life and if I learn to notice these things then it helps me notice i'm dreaming when I am and thus go into lucidity.

Which is nice.

Anyway, does anybody else have lucid dreams and if so can they comment up any techniques or advice that makes them easy to happen?

A dream diary post will follow later.
