I. AM. BEOWULF.

Last night Caleb and I went to see Beowulf at Briarwood. I loved it. Even though it made my inner English major cry profusely. They butchered parts of the legend, but the way the did it worked quite well for the movie format. The animation was stunning. They did that whole put the actors in suits and then digitize them thing. It was great. Plus, the grotesqueness of Grendel was fucking awesome. Hooray for animated violence!

Speaking of Caleb, I can't even begin to explain how crazy I am about him. Sometimes he drives me utterly insane- but even when he's doing it... I just can't get enough of him! I'll spare you my sappyness...

Here's the latest in the book world...
#6. I am Legend by Richard Matheson Like I said before, I loved the I am Legend story. It was very different from the movie, but quite excellent. I'd recommend both.

#7. Rebel Angels by Libba Bray Again, it's a love/hate for me. Parts of it I just love, and parts I hate. But the basic idea of the story is awesome. I've started the third one.

#8. Extras by Scott Westerfield This was a great way to revisit the Uglies world (since the trilogy ended so abruptly). That said, parts of it felt somewhat forced (the attempts at inter-weaving the story with Tally and Shay from Uglies).

#9 Maximum Ride:Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports by James Patterson This was awesome. I adore Maximum. I'd totally name my kid that. Man... I better never have kids. I was under the impression that this was the final book in the series, but amazon shows me this: Maximum Ride: The Final Warning It comes out in May, I'm totally excited.

#10 Some random Harlequin that I got at Value World. It was hilarious. And I don't know what I did with it.
