2) The Go-Betweens: Before Hollywood
tracklist.
I never ever realised how much Callum really does resemble Steve McQueen, despite having seen Steve from childhood on. The writers must have taylored that to his Ray, but even more so now, the way Callum looks now he might play "Getaway" and look just like Steve, and earlier on "Thomas Crown" because *GUH*
After seeing glimpses of that famous scene with Fay at the end of "TC", I was hit by the beginning of "G" which has Steve dream of love-making and then, outside, when he looks at his Ali he hadn't been with for four years, there really is yearning and uncertainty and fear and something else ... I need caps of that, or rather get the DVD. File. Suffice it to say my eyes and brain played tricks on me, and Callum 2006 could just as well have been on screen there, it all blurred.
I fully admit that I didn't watch it all, but I surely didn't imagine that unexpected similarity and/of sensuality.
I was tempted to photoshop them together but ... either you see it or you don't, I guess. I know Steve is less pointy and all, and he never caused me the same reaction, though I always did notice and stuff him.
And that whole bad-ass thing and addiction and stuff but also.
It's also that constant cigarette and the comparatively thin arms on a square torso and you don't see that here either and this might look least like Callum but.
ETA: omg
ETA2: Since it's my b-day in 12 days, my parents came by to remind me to pay them (back) their money, so of course now (after researching Steve's knob) I'm watching What Not to Wear *somebodypleasesavemedeaththroes*
ETA3: since most of you might not be able to follow that logic - they demand their debts from me now so they don't have to do a b-day amnesty or anything like that. No, they don't need it and won't be able to take it with them when they die either.
Steve's knob is discussed by aged starlets and I only wanted to find out more about the last photo I linked up above, which is o.0.
