I totally just showed my mum Repo! The Genetic Opera and she was totally enjoying it. Bwahaha. Score another to our team. (She's perhaps not converted as I doubt she'll ever watch it again, but she was interested and entertained.)
This means I've introduced every one of my friends to Repo and all of my parents! (All meaning mum, dad and my stepmum... who apparently didn't quite enjoy it so much. Heh.) Although I miss the forum days pre-movie, but just because I can't really keep up with stuff now because there's so many people and things there.
Noithing makes for a good night like a bottle of wine and Repo! and I am quite happily buzzed. Except no one else seems to be online to keep me entertained. You bastards.
Hahaha, mum just came back out and said "save me some pictures of that graverobber man and set one as my desktop... and I wouldn't mind if it was the Repo Giles either." She is SO caught.
LFoD drinkies tonight means I have to clean my room. As one can understand this is a horrible thing for me to face and I have to remove to poets so I can vacuum. (Rats? Strangely not fond of the very loud sucking machine. Who would have thought it?) Uuuuugh, task too daunting. Abort. Abort.
Slave auction and party last night was pretty damn awesome even if I was - shock horror - sober. (See, mum? Totally not a drunk ;P) Had heaps of fun actually and did my regular trick of stealing leather jackets from the nearest male. It remains one of my very favourite games.
I want to end this on something really witty, but alas I have nothing.
EDIT: Hats make me look like a twat.
Rock on, my bitches.
Why is that the more sex is in a European movie, the more likely it is to end in PAINFUL TRAGEDY. European sex romps are so unrompy when Alison and I get them out.
So we've been sitting on the couch for the last four hours watching movies and spent half of it laughing, crying 'hee! penis!', or crying.
Y Tu Mama Tambien? So good. I've been meaning to see it for years and years but never got around to it. So. Fantastically. Fabulous. All filled with pain for something that had two sex scenes by the time it was three minutes in. Seventeen year old boys are hilarious. And Spanish is sexy.
And now we've just finished the French Ma Mere which was specifically rented because it has Louis Garrel in it, who is one of Raen's main crushes. He's quite a nummy treat. What can I say about it... what can I say... Hmmm, how about OH. MY. GOD. In fact, it was so painful that I've been saying "Oh. My. God." since it finished. Raen has been wandering around in traumatised silence. Because....OH MY GOD. If you're looking for a nice easy sex romp involving mother and son? Yeah, find another one. I mean, it was really good in a very painful way, but... I feel bad for every single person in that movie! :(
Next weekend we're doing the first three Batmans! :D
"I'd sodomise a mango."
Three guesses from which mango-obsessed person said this.
i didn't clean my room la la la
i knew you wouldn't. I knew today would be a "everything from the floor goes onto the bed till you want to sleep and then it'll go on the floor again" kind of day
it's an inefficient system
you should try my system
i don't move anything ever. it works well.
cept i don't know where my proper pajama pants are.
In other news: The line up for the Victoria's Secret show sucks big time. It's like they decided that last year they had too many attractive women walking and had to do something about it. So they took them out the back paddock and shot them. Now it's just boring unattractive models. Yes, I do care. Don't mess with gorgeous half naked women. It's a workable system right there. (I'm being over-dramatic. There are still a few gorgeous girls, but heaps of my favourites are missing.)
I get to go to my dad's for his birthday party at the end of this month, and I say yay! And I might be going home for a week at Christmas, which is another yay! I like visiting parentals. It's made of good.
I am procrastinting on my essay so badly. Actually, that's a lie. I'm doing very well indeed on the procrastinating. It's just the essay bits that keep getting in the way. Jeez, it's not like it's due on Monday or anything. I keep telling myself I'll do it later, but later is tonight and Sena will be here and there will be Supernatural and, ha, like any work is getting done then.
I am reading the most awesome book at the moment called The Raw Shark Texts by Steven Hall. It's really crazy and trippy and incredible so far and so much more interesting than anything uni related.
And for a quick note of flailing that only my flatmates will care about: OMG SCULLY KIDNAPPED FLAIL!! *PANICS* *STRESSES* *ANGSTS*
Funny how television characters worries me much more than impending academic failure...
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go have a cup of tea and read my book. It has conceptual sharks, you know.
