X-Men: Deadpool/thought bubbles = BFFs

Deadpool would have handled this shit with grace.

Let me tell you about me and Lara's exciting evening!

Okay, so there was a Mexican night at Cath and Jen's and we all had noms and wonderfulness and Lara and I decided we'd take off and catch the earlier bus home, perhaps not taking into account that it was a Friday night in a kind of crappy area of the city.

All is going well until we're halfway across one of the little side streets and this arsehole comes hooning around the corner. Since he's the speeding dickhead we sort of had little choice but to get the hell back off the road and stand there on the sidewalk. Dickhead pauses at the corner slams his horns and yells at us 'FUCK YOU!' Then, because my mouth goes before my brain does, I turn and yell out at the car, "EAT ME, BITCH!"

We keep walking and dickhead slams on his brakes and come screeching back towards us. Lara's pulling out her phone and whispering 'oh shit, oh shit,' but I was just seeing red. I was thinking Fuck you, mate, because you're in the goddamn wrong here and if you think I'm going to let you intimidate me then there's no way in hell that I'm backing down.

Which is STUPID because not only haven't I been in a real fight since I high school, this guy could be some huge kickboxer with a knife for all I know. But, no, adrenalin said bitch, let's fucking go!

I'm glad that he didn't get out of the car and after letting the car sit for a moment took of again. (At the time I actually felt a little let down.) edit: re-reading this makes it sound like I think I'm some sort of tough chick. I'm not. I'm a rubbish wimp which makes my emotional decision to want to fight this guy all the more ludicrous as I'm fully aware of the pummeling that would follow.)

The tortillas were awesome though.
BSG: The ending of another day

We'll drink a toast in the torture chamber

Alina introduced me to the music of Jill Tracy, who I can't really describe other than she's sort of eerie, and 40's-esque, and writes songs with lines like but, my dear, it's worth the pain/when you're pulling your insides out and makes it sound deliciously elegant and seductive. So pretty!

Clare is watching BSG and I am listening to (well, reading) her various excited sounds over MSN to the things happening. It's great fun!

Last night Ness brought over 'A Very Potter Musical', recorded directly from YouTube (oh, technology!) to show us and we all almost died at how adorable Voldemort and Quirrel were together because they were awesome best buds. It was quite entertaining. (And they could all sing well, as opposed to certain recent renditions of RENT that may have hurt my ears.)

After we dropped Ness home, we drove up the hills singing along to Amanda Palmer and once there I got to see Christchurch all spread out and lit up for the first time since I've lived here. (I've only ever been up there during the day - It's very pretty with all the sparkling nighttime lights.) We also got the watch the moon rise from there while we ate licorice all sorts. Pretty damn good night.

Jennifer! This is for you :)

Today made quite the spectacle of myself when Raen and I had a water gun fight outside the Foundry bar at uni. Got rather wet. Someone shouted 'Wet T-shirt competition!' Was amusing. I like shooting things. And got to be amused when the boy said, "That's my weapon you've got your hands on, darling." I'm so immature sometimes. (Or all the time.)

Went to see him tonight but he wasn't home. How dare he have a life. And so I pouted at the evilness of this. And then came home. Where my house was invaded- quite nicely- by Binky.

He's currently in the kitchen talking about canivorous snails with Raen's cousin. It amuses.

And on another note this fact hit me tonight when walking back from the boy's house under the beautiful full moon:

I love this city.
