JWW: Mythic heroines who line the sea

(no subject)

Me sleepy.

I'm up to make little sandwiches for Alina's sparkly fairy princess and llama's 21st birthday. Everyone loves little sandwiches!

Tonight I have to pack and get an early night because I have to get a taxi to the airport at seven - which is actually a far more reasonable hour than most of my morning flights and I hope it won't be too crowded on the roads. It cost Ali $70 to get back from there the other day when it's usually a $40 journey. Ick. But I have cash and if all goes wrong I'll walk the last of it! (Sadly not enough money to go buy some new earphones though so I'll have to be on the plane with the ones I have that one work in one ear. This is annoyance.)

Also, if the earth starts shaking shit up and the airport gets closed I'm going to be muchos pissed off. They will hear my rage across the sea. So... just keep it down, tectonic plates. Be cool. (I'm coming BACK to the city you broke so nicely for me, don't worry!)

Still haven't packed. Packing is for losers.

Oh! The world didn't end, I just noticed! Although I haven't seen Lara this morning so it is very possible she has been raptured. Alison and I have to prepare ourselves for this inevitability. We will had to eat all the noms ourselves and get someone to watch the cats while we're away.

Lake Kaniere

On Friday we (Alison, Ness, Sam, Tim and myself) did the road trip thing from Christchurch across to the West Coast to spend the weekend at Alison's family's bach at Lake Kaniere. (For the non-New Zealanders reading, bach = holiday home. I don't know if a bach has to be on a lake/beach to be a bach. This might be information a local needs to provide here...)

The trip across is about three and a half hours and we all squished ourselves into Tim's car, the three of us in the backseat dozing off and waking when we hit the bumps in the road that sent our heads smashing into the roof.

Does this mean I can stay the kid?

I talked to my little brother on the phone today. In my mind he's seventeen still but he's turning twenty-one in March. It's all wrong. He sounds like a grown up man-person and he's about six-four apparently.

He and his girlfriend have been together for five years in April, and he told me he's going to propose then. They're also trying for a baby.

My face = :O to every single thing in this post.

Although he's apparently a big BSG fan which means we have something in common for what might be the first time ever.
Mylene: Falling in and out of love

God damn this is disjointed.

Mr Edgar Poe is sitting on my desk and doing what he does best: adorableness and eating treats with his adorable tiny little hands! ohmygodsocute!

It's 5am. I really did promise myself I was going to get better at this tonight. Alas.

The new Epica album has leaked although I haven't got a copy of it yet. (The video for the first single is kinda cheesy, just like Epica ones always are, but hot damn does Mark look lickable.)

New layout of Mylene Jampanoi. I'm shallow and it's awesome.

And now that it's started to rain again I'm going to bed to enjoy the pretty.

I never know what the frak to say on this thing anymore.
