Time to never hold our love

If people bring so much courage to this world the world has to kill them to break them, so of course it kills them. The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry. 'A Farewell to Arms' by Ernest Hemingway.

It's 9.30 on a Sunday morning, I'm awake, and I haven't actually been up all night. Praise be, it's a miracle! Everyone else in the house is asleep though, so that's less fun.

I'm almost finished reading Rules of Attraction by Bret Easton Ellis, which I LOVE because Ellis is my disturbed literary lover. All his characters are so fucked up and the stories are so bleak and... ugh. Love. And I want to new Joanne Harris book! The Lollipop Shoes is all out and I haven't read it yet! It's supposed to be darker than Chocolat but I'm not exactly expecting Lansquenet Psycho from her. I need to own more books. It makes me sad.

The Australian tax office FINALLY sent mum back my student allowence shit. (SERIOUSLY. It's been MONTHS.) Which means I can give it to the people here and FINALLY start getting paid. *keyboard mashes*

For the record (and because everyone else appears to be talking about it on my flist): I'm loving the new Nightwish. Seriously can't wait for the new album.
