Mantra.

Repeat to self:

Hobbits are grown men, not play things.

Word count: Crap, 14,736. Although, I'm still writing!

Also, I have a pretty new icon. (Thanks to nienna_elensar. No idea who to make that all linky though...)

Bit...

Umm, I have an obsession for dreams:

*

“Why are you here?” she asked.

The man who stood at the window had coal black hair loose around his face. Salazar Slytherin, her ancestor, the man she had taken her name from. This room they were in wasn’t her bedroom. Her dreams never took place there.

He didn’t move toward her. “I came because you called.”

It was such a simple answer and Diantha wanted to believe it. But the storm that she saw blowing outside the window made her wary. “Did I cause this?”

“The storm?” Somehow she felt that wasn’t what she meant, but nodded anyway. He walked toward her. “Maybe. Or maybe it was just a storm that was going to happen anyway. Not everything is about you, Diantha.”

She looked down her he lifted her chin gently. “Although, some things are.”

She stared at him and wondered what that meant. Looking past him she saw the window there and tried to be silent. There was someone there, pounding her bloody hands against the glass and screaming. Diantha couldn’t take her eyes off her. Salazar’s hand was still on her face and he forced her eyes to him. “You can’t help her,” he said in undertone. “Just like she won’t able to help you, even when you need it.”

“Would She try?”

Salazar looked thoughtful. “Maybe.” Then he turned and began to walk away. “But then,” came his dark voice. “She always did try.”

(no subject)

19,221! Over my daily word count, thank you! I'm hoping to finish this mid month-ish and then start another one.

Am I insane?

Yeah, I really am!
