Feeling better today.

I'm wearing my new shirt from anthropologie, Grey's is on tonight and I have a chicken Voila! waiting for me in the freezer.

Friends are coming over. And they tend to make me happy.

Spring Break FLEW by, but it's good to be back.

Last night was necessary. Chris, Mandy, Ricki and I sat out on our porch and watched the thunderstorm. Just talking and laughing and enjoying each other's company. It's been raining/misting all morning. The bottoms of my pants are soaked and my hair is frizzy. I'm so glad it's Friday.

In other news, I left my cell phone in the pocket of my jacket and it went through the washing machine. Brilliant, I know. So I am phone-less and annoyed. I had a ton of amazing texts that I saved over the past 18 months in there. I would read them when I needed to laugh or feel better and now they are gone forever. Especially the ones from Elliott when he didn't think I was a waste of his life.

Just french and psychology today.

Still feel all alone...

...just wanna go home. And I am! Feels good. Life at home is simple, drama-free, easy. Even though I'm pretty bored right now. I need to call people and make plans for the week.

My mom and I have had a pretty low key weekend. Just talking, going out for coffee, things like that. She even did my month's worth of laundry AND made me spaghetti for dinner. We went shopping today and I got an adorable little dress at Marshall's. My cousin asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding this summer, so I'll wear it to the rehearsal dinner or something.

I'm going over to Gaby's tonight to hang and hopefully seeing Rachel Franceschi tomorrow. I've missed them like whoa. And maybe a trip to Boulder later this week?

THANK GOD KU won today.

I've just spent the past four hours studying at IHOP. Nothing says Tuesday like a mushroom omelet over psychology notes.

Today was, overall, quite successful. I think I aced my Vis. Comm. midterm, the weather was in the high 70's, and my hair looked halfway decent. I have high hopes for the rest of the week.

I am so ridiculously emo it's scares me sometimes.

The weeks are FLYING by. Am I seriously almost halfway done with college?

-I keep going through my archives and reading my past entries. Was I happier a year ago? I think so. Life seemed simpler last year, but don't  things always seem simpler in retrospect? I had a certain feeling in the dorm; I can't quite explain it and I can't quite replicate it.

-I've watched the series finale of Sex and the City about 17 times in the past couple of days. I'm in love with love and relationships.

-I miss seeing Chris all the time. He was like my in-house shrink, comedian and partner-in-crime. Maybe he can come over tonight after work.

How's about some positives about lately:

+I donated blood.
+ I gave a homeless man five dollars yesterday.
+My COMS speech went exceptionally well.
+I have a midterm in Visual Communications this week, and I'm ecstatic because that's a class I actually do well in.
+I love going to work.

There's about 100 other things I want to write about, but they will have to wait.

Remember that last entry?

Yeah, spoke too soon.

And one more thing:

Feb. 11th, 2007 | 10:37 am

I'm a little sad to say I just re-signed my lease for next year. Which means I won't be studying abroad second semester.

That goes along with the whole "not wanting to leave college with regrets" idea...

Why does one have to pay for Starbucks' wireless? Honestly. Aren't they already making enough money off of my four dollar Venti extra hot caramel macchiatto? Luckily the Eldridge is letting me onto their network, otherwise I would've waltzed over to La Prima Tazza.

Two things:

I've decided to take credit/no credit for French this semester and have I mentioned that I love my friends?

Foreign language is the main reason I changed my major last year and the main reason I'm not in the Journalism school right now. I've done so many "what if"s in the past week it's making my brain ache and my anxiety levels shoot through the roof. I don't want to leave college with regrets. I'm only halfway done and I'm already FREAKING out about the future. But last week Chris came over, and he, Ricki and I just  talked, and cried on my part, about what we're doing (and not doing) with our lives. I forget that just confiding in someone else doesn't make me feel so crazy.
So back to the credit/no credit sitch. I'm thinking that may take a little bit of the pressure off of the ol' GPA, which will allow me to focus on other subjects? Whatever. I don't even know what I'm talking about.

I'm back. I haven't written in a while because, well, I didn't feel like it. Plus, there has been some stuff cluttering my mind lately, and whenever I tried to blog, I would start to ramble on about it. And that does not a good entry make.

-Classes are fine. MUCH better than last semester. Visual Communications and Psychology are probably my favorites. And French, because I have the same TA as last semester and he is wannabe Eurotrash.
-Our microwave has been broken for the past three days. And seriously, a college student without a microwave is like...a panda without bamboo?
-I'm working as a host at Old Chicago this semester, and actually, I love it.
-I'm TRYING to figure out my plans for the summer. If only the journalism people would let me into their damned School, I could start to make some decisions. But regardless, I'm thinking about staying for at least the first month. I definitely want to be in Lawrence for the Harry Potter premieres, so we'll see how that works.

I guess that's all. I think it's a hair-up, sweatshirt kind of day.
