Hey all of you!

I thought it would be time to update this "biography". Not that I'm gonna tell you the story of my life...

Who am I in short?

I'm a O80-C3-E91-A32-N55 Big Five!!

I'm a 23 yr old Dutch student of English and am member of the Groningen University Theatre Society.

I love travelling, but lack the money. Have studied in Salford, UK, for 1 semester back in 2006. Currently doing my master year at the RuG, in the Netherlands.

Well anyway, most of the time I'm babbling about nothing in particular, but my life is most interesting (lol), so.. well.. if you're interested you can always read my LJ - although it's friends only now, so give me a good reason and I'll add you back!!

Am also part of NaNoWriMo, in which you have to write a 50,000 word story. Check it out if you want to. Writing starts every November, and you can sign up from the 1st of October! It's amazing and fun.

To my friends, who I won't specifically name here: thanks for always being there. For being who you are.

My journal has recently become friends only, so if you want to read it, you should comment with a good reason and let me know, so that I can add you as a friend... :)

This is me. I'm not famous. I'm just an ordinary girl in this fucked up world.

  • Memorable quotes:

The time is always right to do what is right

    -- Martin Luther King, Jr.

I don't think someone should run unless he's being chased.

-- Elijah Wood as Casey in The Faculty

    All the world's a stage
And all the men and women merely players
They have their exits and their entrances
And one man in its time plays many parts...

    -- William Shakespeare

How happy is the blameless Vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd.

-- Alexander Pope (in Eloisa to Abelard)

Blessed are the forgetful, for they get the better even of their blunders.

    -- Friedrich Nietzsche

The way we communicate with others and with ourselves ultimately determines the quality of our lives.

    -- Anthony Robbins

Draco got drunk, and I had the pleasure of walking her home.

Draco sitting on bench: "Hey, that light is spinning around." *points at certain lantarn*
Me: "No, honey, that's because you're drunk."
Draco: "Well, that might be the case, but that doesn't change anything about the fact that that light is spinning around."

A few moments later, still sitting on the bench. Sitting, not lying down:

Draco: "Can we walk again? I'm falling asleep here."

Then, as we continue to walk towards our flatbuilding:

Guys pass by: "Hey, hot stuff!"
Draco: "SHUT UP! Don't make me hurt you! I'm very kinky!"

-- dracothelizard and me, on Thursday night the 7th of October 2004.

"My fandoms have something in condom!"

-- dracothelizard on my idea to make an icon in which Elijah and Dominic Wood are both dressed up as the Artful Dodger, December 31st, 2004.

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.

-- Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen

Of course some of these quotations are in complete contrast with keeping a journal. Writing down is not forgetting. So that makes me not blessed. Yes. I know. I know how weird it must seem, but it's true and I love the quotations. Maybe I should get a Bartlett's of my own. ;)
