Odds and Ends

Well, I grew up in Southern California, and then left as it is no longer what I would consider habitable. I have worked for Nissan R&D, been a truck driver, computer tech support drone, worked hardware/software integration, sales, and finance. In a moment of weakness, I also enlisted in the US Air Force for a four year term that somehow ended up being six years. I spent that time in some of the most inhospitable places in the world, as well as others that were more soothing to my delicate sensibilities. I enjoy "extreme" sports a great deal, even while I despise the term. I also have a collection of scars and x-rays that can attest to my lack of survival instinct. This journal is pretty much friend locked by default now, one of these days I may change it back. Or not

"It is the duty of every patriot to protect his country from its government."

"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it."

"I'm here at Cape Canaveral for a seminal moment in history: when America looked to its highest aspirations and said, 'Eh, fuck it.'"

"It seems poker's just not your game. I know: let's have a spelling contest."

"It's not the years, it's the mileage."

"I come in peace. I didn't bring artillery. But I'm pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you fuck with me, I'll kill you all."

"There's a reason we separate military and the police: one fights the enemy of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people."
