066// Colored Manga

As you may have noticed I've started making icons from the Naruto manga. And to make a good manga icon you need to learn how to color manga panels... I'm new to the whole coloring thing but I'm practicing hard. Here are some of my finished colorings I made for my icons.

These are previews so just click the "icon" to see the full sized image.

064// LOVELESS

LOVELESS is one of the most beautifully drawn manga and anime series I've seen so far. I really like how the colors reflect the moods of the scenes in the anime and the manga is just a piece of art itself.

This patch is mostly of the Breathless but I will be making more icons from other characters as soon as I can! I'm quite new in manga coloring so please give me your honest opinion how I could better myself.

062// Naruto

I've been really unproductive lately... *sigh*

I think I may have an obsession with the Uchiha clan... almost 95% of my Naruto icons have at least one of the Uchihas in them! Really... When ever I'm digging trough my older caps I always end up with the ones with an Uchiha on it...

This patch of icons is really wired... some of these icons have been laying in the back of my computer since last fall and some of them are results of crazy experimenting! *g*

BrushSet 08// Katakana (expanded)

This is the third part of the Japanese language-set I've made for PhotoShop. It consists of (for now at least) a brush set for both katakana, hiragana syllables and now also for expanded katakana syllables.

Expanded Katakana syllables didn't exist until relatively recently. You can find more about them About.Com.

The brushes for katakana and hiragana can be found in here and here.

Please note that I do not speak, read nor write Japanese (well if you can count the misc. words I've learned while watching anime) so please inform me if there is something amiss...

This set is intended to be used mainly for icon making. The sizes of the syllables varies around 20px. Of course they can be used in wallpapers and in other bigger art works as well as in icons but they might be a bit small for them.

This set was made with PS7 and it includes both .abr and picture of an Katakana table.

The syllable examples written in katakana are "she", "vi", "che", "fi" and "di" you can try to guess which one is witch... *wink*

061// Prince of Tennis/Tennis no Oujisama

Back again, and with a new fandom too! Lately I've been watching Prince of Tennis and I have to say that I like it very much even tough I don't really understand tennis in real life! *g* And I find it funny that now that I've been watching the show I reconized what and who they were talking about in sports news today when they mentioned Grand Slam, Roger Federer and Peter Sampras! *giggles* I was almost screaming "Change! Over!"

And since it's once again been a while since I last made icons I'm a little rusty... but I hope my icons aren't quite that bad!

[NOTE:] The Kanji I've used for the icons are taken from the Prince of Tennis' screencapso they should be right but if they aren't let me know! The Kanji in each icon stands for their names i.e. Echizen, Fuji, Momoshiro, Kaidoh and Inui.
