VIVA LA JOY.
So I've acquired a wood burner and have started wood burning signs, and I am in love with it. It takes forever, it's therapeutic, and it smells lovely. Plus on hot days I can shut myself in the cool bike shop garage with a fan blasting in my face while I sit on a saw-horse wearing next to nothing. Fuck, my life is awesome this summer.
I shot a 6-spread photo article on portraits of bikes with character in Burlington for Thread Magazine that I am so pleased with and comes out in the next couple weeks. I'll post it here once the magazine comes out but as it is I'm having a hard time controlling my urges to show everyone the results of a project I'm super happy with. I'm also getting commissioned for boards in new spots around town and am spending much of my time making signs and practicing typography. dug Nap would be proud. Come tomorrow I'll be the official cart girl for Battery Street Jeans, so y'all can find my ass on Church Street daily on our cart outside of Michael Kehoe, the high-end menswear shop on the corner of Church and College, who have already complained that we girls on the BSJ cart smell funny and are a sub-par addition aesthetically to their storefront. Bring it, you dillholes.
